We are a group of bicyclists who meet up to ride the Trempealeau area hills and valleys. All seven of us found comfortable sleeping accommodations. The kitchen was stocked with all the utensils we needed for preparing our post ride dinners, and the deck was great, providing us with awesome views and a terrific outdoor dining space. We made good use of the coffe bar every morning. We would recommend this house to anyone.

Feast and Games with Family

We wanted a place to gather where we could share a big meal at a large table and follow up with games and a comfortable place to stay. This place provided all that and had the best view of the Mississippi River, too! We highly recommend walking a couple of blocks and up the stairs to see the site of a sacred Mississippian site!

Fathers Day family long weekend

We enjoyed the areas attractions and atmosphere. Biking, hiking and fishing are all nearby. The Elmaro winery is 10-15 minutes away and was a pleasant experience with great views of the vineyard. The lock and dam can be seen from the house and it provided occasional entertainment as the tugs pushed barges through the chamber.

Great place to stay

We were 8 friends staying for three days. We really enjoyed the property with its amazing view of the river and mountains. Wish it didn't rain so we could enjoy the deck and the 9 bicycles in the garage. Jon has thought a lot about what is needed in a VRBO rental like a fully stocked kitchen including coffee and so much more. We had breakfast at the local diner that is close to the house and it was terrific. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Girls weekend

5 long time friends spent the weekend as our yearly get together and we enjoyed our stay in trempaleau. The fall colors were still beautiful for the end of October and we enjoyed having a "cheers" when the train went by each time. We took a nice morning walk by the river enjoying the sites of this small town along with enjoying the local restaurant and boutique shop while we were here. The kitchen was nicely stocked with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed playing ping pong. We wish the weather would've been nicer for us to take advantage of the bicycles..maybe next time. A hot tub on the deck overlooking the river would be a nice addition. We loved the photo wall downstairs. Maybe a few throw blankets could be added for sitting around on cooler mornings. Overall we highly recommend this house as a perfect little get away.
