The living room had an abundance of good reading lights which is something that many rental cottages lack. It was lovely to hear the babbling river as we enjoyed happy hour on the sunny deck. I did book thinking the property was directly on the lake but wasn’t overly disappointed that it was a backlot with slight slivers of lake view from the property in front. "The place is not as it is described and full of dirt and black molds plus strange insects on beds. The sheets are not clean at all and you have to wash them be careful. I would give zero star if I could as I am really disappointed. We had to sleep in the car"

"Overall, a beautiful, well kept cottage. Had everything we needed. The owner was responsive to my questions. It would have been helpful if the owner advised me that someone would be on the property to cut the grass during my stay. There were also four adults still on the property when I arrived at 4pm looking for a cell phone. Not a huge deal, but communication regarding these two things would have been appreciated."

"Loved our experience at the Blue House. The open concept living rm/kitchen was great and better than shown in the pictures. Beds were comfortable and the house had all we needed for our stay. The host even organized the drop-off of a space heater for one room that was a bit cold, so we were very comfortable. The only improvement would be the dishwasher, since it doesn't clean the dishes very well, even when rinsed. A few more glasses would also be helpful."

"It is a picturesque cottage with everything perfectly maintained. There was a great view of the lake and excellent lighting; and a forest behind the cottage. Foosball and air hockey tables in basement were great fun as was the hot tub which is on a large deck. Barbecue is conveniently near to sliding doors of cottage on a balcony. Bedrooms are spacious. Secluded, but only a brief drive to top grocery store and conveniences."
