Baili Manor Cing Jing

"Such a beautiful hotel, right next to a bus stop and a 24-hour Family Mart and 7/11. I stayed for 2 nights to go to Hehuanshan and I loved my stay. The room was huge, the bed really comfortable, and there was a garden tub overlooking the mountain in the bathroom, perfect for a warm bath after a day of hiking. The breakfast (included) was delicious, they offered free afternoon tea and muffins, and the dining room is truly beautiful, looking out into the garden. The staff were very kind and there were two lovely kittens in the reception. Great value for what it offers. I’m traveling alone and most of the guests seem to be local families and couples, but I thought it was a great choice for a solo traveler."

"Beautiful accommodation in a lovely setting. The views are amazing. We ordered the hot pot dinner and there was so much food. Breakfast was wonderful with many options. Construction is going on with one of the buildings but it wrapped up early and didn’t affect our stay at all."

"This wonderfully charming hotel has way more to offer than simply a unique architecture. The dinner (which is included in the price) is top quality European fare that would be impressive even in the finest Taipei restaurants. The nightly 'concert' is a free curated music medley played over one of the best hi-fi audio systems ever made (the vintage Focus Utopia with beryllium speakers), and smaller systems with a free classical CD library are available in the larger rooms. This is not just a hotel, it's a fully unique overnight experience."

"Breakfast was unfortunately the worst part: if you have to have a Chinese breakfast, at least make it flavorful. Again, don’t use the link to get directions, manually put the address in to get directions. Shower turns into a mini-swimming pool in the bathroom, unfortunately no heat in the room and that was kinda needed"
