"Overall the stay was perfect for my brother and me to have a 4-day getaway. The beds were comfortable (most important), the kitchen had all the basics we needed, and the place stayed nice and warm. The bathroom could use some work; the shower-tub diverter mechanism needs to be replaced and there's nowhere to put/hang things in there, but the towels were thick and soft and the water was beautifully hot! We found the woodstove gave off too much smoke, so we used the space heater instead, and that worked great. The neighborhood was lovely, with big trees and friendly people. The steep bumpy driveway could be rough on a regular car; we had a larger SUV so it was doable. Easy walk to downtown with good options for eating. We would definitely return."

"Though just 1 mile off the interstate, we felt like we were way off the path, surrounded by forest. We enjoyed the breakfast as well. The staff was very accommodating, especially since we had flight and traffic delays that delayed our arrival time past our expected arrival time."

"Decor was amazing and in great condition. Tub in the room was amazing. Parlor downstairs was beautiful and my wife could have hung out there for days with the book collection and coffee."

"The room was clean. The bed was a little firm for our taste. The rooms need a bit of updating. Looks like a leak in the bathroom. The floor was a bit mushy. It was close to Lake Shasta which we were going to the next day so that was convenient. The staff was friendly. We were able to park right by our room. It was close to eating establishments."
