"We stayed at The Grove Seaside Hotel for five full days and six nights, booking two garden-view rooms, and were absolutely happy with our stay.
Some reviewers complain that the bathrooms are “dated,” but I honestly disagree. They were clean, everything worked as it should, and that is what truly matters. Nothing felt substandard. The rooms were comfortable and well maintained, the balconies small but neat and practical, with folding clothes dryers attached to the wall. The air conditioners were quiet, modern and very effective.
The room-cleaning service was AMAZING, and the hotel staff were exceptional. Everyone was genuinely friendly, helpful and caring. I have travelled throughout Europe, North America and the Caribbean, and rarely experienced this level of support. They truly care about their guests and go above and beyond to help.
The beach was never overcrowded, and we could always find plenty of space regardless of the time of day. The water was always clean, even during stormy weather - a stark contrast to other beaches we visited, where there was a lot of seaweed.
The location is excellent for visiting Nafplion, Tiryns, Mycenae and the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus. Nearby Vivari also has excellent seafood restaurants - we had an amazing dinner at Borelli.
The hotel restaurant was GREAT too. We had breakfasts, lunches and dinners there and enjoyed them all.
A lovely place, absolutely worth the money. We would return with zero hesitation and highly recommend it."
"The hotel is good, however the staff is what makes it feel like you’re staying with family. They really care and answer all your questions and provide recommendations. It was a lovely visit."
"Lovely hotel, incredible location with an easy walk to the marina but slightly off the beaten path so quiet and relaxing. Staff was very friendly and helpful planning our stay. Rooms, common areas and grounds were well maintained and always clean. Pool was refreshing with plenty of seats, umbrellas and towels. Bar service was fantastic. Breakfast buffet was delicious with loads of local options and fresh choices. WiFi worked well. Rooms were smallish, not a lot of unpacking space, bathroom was small but well equipped. Balcony had table and chair with views of the water and sailboats in and out. Stairs with access to the water was great and the water was amazing! We were part of a group in town for a wedding and I heard only compliments. Enjoy!"
"Please stay here!!! A lovely family that couldn’t do enough for you. They looked after me well and I felt so safe and welcomed by them as a solo traveller who is a woman. I wish them all the best and I will be recommending this place far and wide."
"We were only looking for a small, clean place to acclimate to Greece and recover from our jetlag and the Papi Boutique Hotel exceeded every expectation. The hotel was located just steps from the ferry dock in Souvala. When we dragged in after an 11 hour plane ride, the warm welcome and genuine hospitality we received set the tone for our whole vacation. Ioanna's smile and willingness to accomodate our needs was spectacular. Our bed was so comfortable, the bathroom and shower were sleek, and the room was fresh and well-appointed. In fact, the entire hotel was just lovely - their designer did an impeccable job creating a pleasing balance of old, new, fun, and curated for a chill and relaxing vibe. The entire staff was amazing - the precious lady who put so much heart into cooking those delicious breakfasts, the attentive young man (was it Elias?) who attended to our needs in the mornings, and the distinguished gentleman who chatted with us near the bar and helped us with our taxi were all a substantial and positive part of our experience. Souvala was filled with great food and cute shops, and the people were so friendly. The hotel's location was convenient to see the sites around Aegina and we were able to tour the Temple of Aphia early in the morning before the tours hit and spend the afternoon in Aegina Town site seeing with easy acess back to the hotel via local taxis. If I could give the hotel staff ten stars, I would. Thank you all so much for everything! <3"
"Hotel was great location across from several beaches. Great bakery within walking distance. Front desk could have been a little more helpful but assisted with anything we needed. Great rooftop bar."
