"Good and quiet. Room is not quite ready as the shampoo & shower gel had ran out and was not replaced. Otherwise, good Fosshotel level of service and rooms. Happy hour from 4-6pm, 900ISK for Gull draft beers. Wine pairing- mega pint of wine served. Haha"

"We loved our stay at the Sunset Cottage! It was one of our favorite places we stayed during our 10 days in Iceland. The cottage itself is located over a hill, several hundred meters away from the main buildings, and provides s lot of privacy. It was quiet and clean with wide open views of the countryside. We had breakfast on our last day ~$21USD/person), and it was great. We also ate at the restaurant onsite for several dinners so that we could enjoy the lovely waterfall view and delicious food. We would absolutely stay here again if in the area. "

"We had a wonderful stay at this home! It was conveniently located and what a stunning setting and view! Our host (Karl) was very responsive and kind. The place was well stocked with spices and such for cooking, too. The only warning I’d give is that the metal bedside lamps get HOT! My teen son accidentally burned his arm on his as he reached past to plug something in. When I checked things, the whole lamp was super hot. Just something to be more aware of if you are staying with kids. This home was fantastic and we’d happily stay there again in the future/recommend it to others especially if you plan to head to Sneafellsnes. Oh, and DEFINITELY try Hvammsvik Hot Springs if you are looking for a good nearby hot springs spa (go by Rt 1 not the unpaved mountain pass Google wants to send you by). It was a major highlight of our trip!"

"What a lovely stay at this beautiful home and property. Gorgeous area to hike and see Icelandic horses. Close to things - hot springs, horseback riding, waterfalls. The owner is a gem and was so available to answer all of our questions about the area. We even got to meet some horses up close and personal. We will be back. House was awesome and accommodated our family of 6! Clean and lovely!"
