Terrible. Very loud music at their affiliated club downstairs blaring until 2 AM each night - BOOM boom boom all night so could not sleep! The bathroom door didn't close

First room I got was fool of smoke.. second one given was so noise for the club beneath had a problem sleeping .. very bad place to stay this time

Didn’t realize the hotel was all electronic locks. Had issue on day one in Trondheim due to the electronic lock not locking on our way out. Because this hotel had no front desk and our Canadian cell plan didn’t work here (without paying high fees) we had to find the sister hotel a few blocks away and have reception call housekeeping to change the batteries. After about 45 minutes of blundering got it sorted but missed our tours for the day due to the delay. No offers for compensation or apologies. The hotels room was small and above a bar so lots of noise transmitted. The cooling system non functional and the bathroom shower floor filled full of pink slime. I would not recommend coming here.

The information given by Expedia was incorrect. There was no lobby assistance after 3:00 p.m. as indicated on the initial reservation. We had to contact the other city living hotel and they helped us out a lot, but it was a hassle to get the codes to get into our room. The parking was off site and an extra cost. It was a very noisy location with bars and clubs right outside our window and lots of people in the street. The rooms themselves were basic but nice.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and I had a gorgeous ocean view from my room. It was located right by the train and bus station and in the center of town. Having to access the hotel via a code that was texted to me was a bit of a problem because the foreign SIM card that I bought to use overseas wasn't working properly and I wasn't getting text messages. Luckily I was able to walk over to the other hotel (which was 5 minutes away) and get the code at their reception desk.

We turned up on a Sunday afternoon so things were a little quiet in Trondheim. The hotel is a short walk from the railway station but the hotel is not staffed so there were some problems gaining access. We had been sent instructions a couple of hours before arrival but we had not received them being on the train. A phone call sorted out the problem. The hotel is conveniently located in respect to the centre of town,

Problems getting my room code. No email sent as arranged. Took 3 hours to sort the problem, no reception at the hotel. In the end i had to walk to the other hotel on a very hot day. Took qhr at reception to sort out. It is a budget hotel, walking distance to railway station and airport shuttle.

Ok hotell til ok pris.
Supert hotell til fin pris. Rent rom, behagelige senger. Enkel og grei sjekk inn. Masse restauranter rundt, så mat er ingen problem. Kan være noe bråk, da utestendene er rett utenfor. Men lukker man vinduene, så hører man ikke så mye. Kan anbefale dette hotellet

Room was nice and clean. Good location. Coffee powder for one day only, no milk, no tea bags, no soap in shower, no room service, no check-in info, staff kind but not so well informed and often counter closed. But probably all as to be expected for this price.

I received a message in the morning saying the room is ready. I arrived at 6 pm and found that the room was not cleaned. There are two bars just next to the hotel. People speak very loudly until 3 am.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Upon arrival there is no reception and they are supposed to text you a code by 3pm on the day you arrive, but they didn’t. 20 minutes and two calls to their “24/7 reception line” and I’m still stuck outside. Then after the third call someone finally picks up and i’m given a code. Then the room is 30*C with the window open and smells like horse manure. The thermostat for the central air doesn’t work to adjust the temperature so I call the reception number and of course no one picks up. So after hoping the room will cool down by 9pm at night I return only to find the temperature is the same. I call the reception again, then message the hotel and finally someone picks up the phone after another call only to tell me that in Trondheim hotels don’t have “air conditioning” but they have “central air”, and that someone can come at 11pm to check if my thermostat is working but they can’t fix it. The receptionist refuses to move me to another room, to send someone to check on the central air, or to refund my money for what the receptionist calls “the weather”. Eventually I had to leave or pass out since I couldn’t breathe. This is the worst customer service and hotel I have ever booked through expedia.

Hello, We are sorry to hear that you had an unpleasant experience staying with us. You should have automatically recieved your access code after completion of the payment. However, lately we have had some system-related issues where sometimes the access code will not automatically be sent. We are sorry that this affected you. Not having air conditioning is usually not a problem, but we understand your criticism regarding this considering the temperature you experienced during your stay. Heat waves like those are extremely rare in Trondheim. Thank you for your feedback.

This hotel is terribly disorganized and I would never stay here again. The direction indicate that they will text and email you a code to get into your room. When I had not received a code by checkin time (3pm) I sent them a message using Facebook messenger (because their website has messenger pop up and ask if you have questions) at 3:45pm and never received a response. We arrived to the hotel around 6:15pm and the reception was closed and locked. We called the phone number they provided and it just kept ringing, no one ever answered. I then called Expedia and was on the phone with them for over an hour. Eventually Expedia got in contact with the owner and he made them continue to call the hotel phone number (that we had previously called) for awhile, and still no one answered. Finally Expedia talked to the owner again and we were able to get a code to enter our room (this was around 7:30pm, checkin was at 3:00pm, so this was 4.5 hours late). In the end we spent almost an hour and a half sitting in a hallway waiting to check in. We were then told a manager would be at the desk by 8am. When we went at 8:45am, no one was there. We again called the number that they say they answer 24 hours/day, but still no one answered. I recommend avoiding this place at all costs.

Hi. City Living Sentrum Hotel is a reception free hotel with automatic check-in and checkout. You will receive your key code at 15:00 on the day of your arrival. All guest need to pay in advance recive the key code. We try to respond in writing within 12 hours, but always recomend that you call us. It seems like the phone must have been busy when you called us, and we will work for a better phoneservice. There is no luggage room in City Living Sentrum, but it is possible to store luggage before check in at City Living Schøller. Sorry that you did not revice this informaton on the morning on you arrival.

Very easy check in. Room really clean and in good condition. Only downside was that the shower was dreadful - the door wouldn't shut properly so the water ended up all over the bathroom.

I was looking for cheaper accommodation as i am staying in Trondheim for a few months and started with this place. After booking it, i first received an SMS with a payment link where i paid for my stay and on the day of arrival i received an SMS with a door code with the room number. In the evening, when i arrived i received a new code, which was odd. The new code however worked and i had no issues figuring out how things work. The room was clean, bed was great. Toilet needed a bit cleaning though, which i took upon myself to do. I stayed there for two weeks and the general opinion is positive - i was able to store my food in the fridge. I did not find the WiFi password though, but i wrote to their general e-mail and received an answer quickly. There was a TV, but i didn't get any channels to open - thankfully i don't usually watch TV anyway, but would've been nice to have it. The place is next to a few nightclubs and gets a bit noisy on the weekends, but i was still able to sleep like a baby.

An overall good experience.
Nice and clean room. Rooms facing the street side could experience some noise from local night club(s) at Friday/ Saturday nights. Hotel is ideally located if arriving by train from the airport. 5 minute walk from Trondheim central Station. Hotel is in walking distance of museums, shopping and the beautiful Nidaros cathedral.
