  • Historic Donner Summit Haus steps from the famous Rainbow Bridge, Sugar Bowl Ski resort, Railroad Tunnel #6, Donner Ski Ranch and the Pacific Coast Trail.Originally used as the Dynamite Tenders cabin for construction of the transcontinental railroad in the 1800s, this magical cabin has been slowing evolving into a serene getaway in the Sierra Nevada mountains.

    This small, but extremely well designed cabin embodies the spirit of the mountain. Cuddle up in the master bedroom or spend quality time with friends or family in the living room or outside in the yard in the shadow of multiple ski resorts. A large loft adds extra sleeping space for two adults or multiple kids.

    Walk across the street to the exceptional Old Route 40 Bar and grill open for breakfast Lunch or Dinner 7 days a week, or drive down the mountain to the charming town of Truckee or majestic Lake Tahoe

    Miles and miles of trails await; simply walk out from the cabin to the famous Pacific Coast Trail (PCT), mere steps from the cabin. or bring your paddle board or kayak for use on Donner Lake, (2 miles), or Tahoe city (14 miles).
