Fabulous position within a stone's throw of the beach.
Nestled between the ancient Engine house and contemporary Chestnut clad Beach House is Number One Penventon a small bungalow built around 1980. Being so close to the beach, the current owners have kept a simple beach hut style of décor, an eclectic mix of contemporary, shabby chic and nautical, with wooden floors throughout . It is Ideal for families, for days on the beach and wonderful walks along the South West Coast path. Inside, the property feels larger than it appears from the exterior as there is an annexe which can be used as a quiet area. It has a shower, separate toilet and utility room in it, also a sofa bed. There is a private parking and garden. The rest of Cornwall with its fabulous beaches, gardens and entertainment venues are easily accessible from Porthtowan. But, you may just want to stay put once you are there.

We couldn't of asked for anything more! The bungalow was beautiful, spacious and equipped with everything we needed including lots of extra touches (books, games etc.). The location was perfect, with beautiful sea views. We can't wait to book again!

As a family of 4 we loved staying at number 1 Penventon. The property had everything you could need. The kids loved the indoor and outdoor toy boxes. The adults made great use of the book case and washing machine! The sunsets over the sea every night were stunning! There was plenty of space for everyone and the beds were a great size and very comfortable. We will definitely go back next year. Thanks for a fabulous holiday!

Location, location, location! The house has an incredible view of the beach, sea and sky, and everything in the village is within walking distance. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.
The house is very nicely decorated, simply but tastefully, and has everything you could need on a seaside holiday.
The owner was always quick to answer any questions I had.
We had a very pleasant time, despite the poor weather, and felt privileged to be able to stay there.

Home was clean, spacious and very well kitted out - we especially liked the annex area, where you could change to go down to the beach (30 seconds walk), and shower off on returning.
The photos show the view of the sea, which is partly restricted by another building as seen from the house, but lovely from the small garden, where you can eat at a table.
Porthtowan is small but with a huge wide sandy beach, and at low tide 2 more are accessible round the headlands. Waves were strong the week we were there and so a lot of surfers in the water.
A wonderful holiday hideout.
