Welcome to Joe and Jennifer’s cabin, Solskiva—a spacious and welcoming mountain retreat near Trysil, where beautiful Norwegian scenery and year-round outdoor adventures await.
Whether you’re planning a winter ski holiday, a summer walking or cycling break, or simply want to escape the noise of everyday life, Solskiva Cabin offers a comfortable and peaceful place to relax and spend quality time with family and friends.
Set within quiet mountain surroundings, the cabin combines traditional Norwegian character with the modern comforts needed for an enjoyable stay. Trysil Ski Resort is only around a 10-minute drive away, making the cabin an excellent base for skiing, snowboarding and other mountain activities.
After a busy day exploring the area, return to the warmth of the large wood-burning fireplace, unwind in the private hot tub or relax in the sauna. A complimentary starter supply of firewood is provided so you can enjoy the fireplace from the beginning of your stay.
The comfortable living area provides plenty of space for everyone to gather, relax and plan the following day’s adventures. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, and the Smart TV is perfect for settling down with a film after a day outdoors. A wide variety of family games is also provided, offering entertainment for guests of all ages.
The good-sized, fully equipped kitchen has everything needed to prepare anything from a quick breakfast before hitting the slopes to a relaxed evening meal. The dining area comfortably seats up to 12 people, making it ideal for family meals, celebrations and evenings spent together.
The sauna is located within the master en-suite bathroom, providing a private and convenient place to warm up and unwind.
Outside, the spacious decking offers a private hot tub, barbecue and outdoor seating. There is also a separate fire-pit and seating area, perfect for gathering together in the fresh mountain air. Guests can also enjoy a peaceful outdoor seating area where they can relax, enjoy a drink and take in the quiet surroundings.
An external storage area is available for skis and other outdoor equipment, helping to keep everything secure, organised and easily accessible during your stay.
Private parking is located directly in front of the cabin, with enough space for at least four cars. An electric-vehicle charging point is positioned beside the garage door for guests travelling with an EV.
A welcome pack is provided on arrival and contains useful information about the cabin, its facilities and the surrounding area. Instructions for using the kitchen appliances, fireplace, hot tub, sauna and washing machines can also be found inside the property.
