The COVID-19 outbreak has triggered substantial changes to how we travel. If you're planning an escape to Tsunoshima Island, the following tips will help you navigate these new rules and challenges:

• Find out what rules and restrictions apply to both your destination and origin. It may not be possible to travel depending on local circumstances, so check government advisories before booking.
• When you go through airport checkpoints, keep your face mask on. You will be asked to lower it briefly to confirm your identity. Passengers who refuse to wear a face mask may be denied entry or boarding.
• To reduce the risk of cross-contamination, position your boarding pass on the scanner yourself and then hold it up for inspection. Do not hand your boarding pass directly to a TSA officer.
• You're allowed to take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on baggage. You'll have to remove it for X-ray scanning.
• Empty your personal items from your pockets, like your phone and wallet, and put them in your carry-on rather than into bins. This will reduce handling during screening.
• Transport any food items in a clear plastic bag and also place them in a screening bin. Keeping food separate from your carry-on makes it less likely that a TSA officer will need to touch and open your bag for inspection.
