"This was by far the nicest room/resort we have stayed in. After being cramped in many Japanese hotels and ryokans, this was much much larger with three queen/full size beds, a 65" TV and an outdoor bath (mineral salts available in the lobby). However, please understand that as this location is very remote, dining options in the area and transportation may be limited. This may be why we didn't see any foreigners there? However, they do provide pick-up service to and from the Shin-Iwakuni station...

"古民家ですが、中は綺麗にリノベーションされていて、とても快適に過ごせました。 マッサージチェアがあるのも良かったです。 パートナーは望遠鏡があることにとても喜んでいました。 料理もとても美味しく、大満足でした。　 ただ、食事中に料理人さんがずっとキッチンにいるのが（食事テーブルに向かって座っている）気になり、食事を急かされている感じがしました。 （アメリカ人パートナー曰く、食事中ずっとそこにいるのはかなり失礼なこと。とのことです。）"

"Decent hotel but somewhat outdated "

"The staff were so lovely and the hotel had lots of little nice touches that made it a pleasure to stay at. Dogo onsen was next door and the hotel provided towels and yukata to take. The room was quiet and peaceful. I didn’t dine at the hotel but enjoyed the free sake bar and there were lots of options for food nearby. "
