Unique themed decor. Only one suite operating, so it was quiet. Many thoughtful amenities. Good experience for our Route 66 trip. Host very helpful and accommodating.
Very cool, retro stop along old Route 66. If you want a vintage New Mexico experience, this is a great stop. This stretch of 66 in Tucumcari is full of old, retro places, gift shops and restaurants/cafes. We walked a block to Del's and had a great, authentic dinner. The room was clean, quiet and decorated well. The host was super friendly, communicative and helpful...even leaving a hand written note upon arrival with all kinds of good recommendations. She even had treats for our dog! Treat yourself to a stay while you travel and explore.
I’ll get straight to the point- this is a sleepy town that was hit by the interstate being built and diverting traffic away from Tucumcari. It is refreshing that Joanne is trying to bring life back to the area by refurbishing this classic motel. The unit was cozy with a separate sleeping area. Not a studio set up so having the kitchen and living area apart was nice.Nicely decorated. Big bathroom ( shower is kinda small, but it’s just a shower - no big deal)There is an outside sitting area that’s nice but it was 100plus degrees so we didn’t use it too much. From the outside I was a little nervous since there are no other units done, however, once settled in it was perfectly comfy and safe. She made a nice cubby with a dogs bed.Dels restaurant is right next door. We stayed one night as we were traveling but it was perfectly adequate. Just trying to support their local economy on our way to south Texas. Thanks Joanne!
