Five star vacation*****
Villa Vidorra is truly a five star vacation. 1. Barbara takes care of EVERYTHING for your stay in order to make it seamless from time of arrival to time of departure. She suggests various excursions in the event the group is interested, and also handles everything to book it. She is an amazing concierge! 2. The villa is located in a private neighborhood on Soliman Bay. The grounds are very well maintained. The housekeeping team keeps the villa extremely clean throughout your stay. The villa, pool, and beach were all immaculate. 3. Chef Manual, sous chef Angel and bartender Luis are there to serve all of your needs. Our group could not decide which meal was best because they were all delicious. (although - our group did vote our steak/lobster night the best!) Luis crafts whatever cocktail you are in the mood for that day and is more than willing to try new recommendations! Our group was so sad leaving this wonderful team after our week of relaxation. (side note - if they could bottle and sell their salsas.... we would buy a dozen!!) 4. I would highly recommend the following activities: snorkeling in the bay, organizing a yoga session out by the pool, & MASSAGES! We also enjoyed the catamaran excursion (but have them take you to the bay for the full time... better snorkeling there) 5. If you wanted to give Chef Manual a break - we highly recommend dinner at the Jashita hotel 2 doors down. Conclusion - we will absolutely be back to Villa Vidorra. Soliman Bay was perfect.

BEST TRIP EVER!
We usually travel to Cabo for our tropical vacation but went out on a limb and tried Tulum… and it has totally changed the future for our vacations! First, the house is amazing and the associated Beach and Pool are even better. Second, the owner has the best communication and was in contact within minutes of reaching out to her, if not contacted immediately. Third, and Most Importantly, THE STAFF makes this vacation into a dream setting. We obtained wonderful and punctual meals, on top of nonstop drinks, customized to our palate, and the hospitality that superseded any hotel or resort that we have ever visited. The cove the house is at is perfect for Kayaking and snorkeling, so you don’t actually need to leave the property for excursions, but I would still recommend venturing off for the Calypso Charter and the Cenote tours, if you have the time. We will definitely be back to enjoy the house again, and hope that the same house crew is there, as they made us feel as comfortable as possible.

Incredible Couples Trip!
We recently stayed at Villa Vidorra for a 50th birthday celebration. The house is absolutely amazing. All of the bedrooms are well appointed and include large attached bathrooms which were perfect for our five couples. The common areas inside the house are great, but we spent most of our time in the unbelievable outdoor space. We ate all of our meals at the large outdoor dining table right outside. There are multiple areas to sit back and relax in and the pool was perfect for sitting in and enjoying a beverage. The beach is also a very nice feature of this property. There are plenty of lounge chairs and even a cushioned outdoor daybed beneath the trees. The beach is very private – the only people we saw were a few other folks staying at some other homes on the bay. While the house itself is great, the best part of the experience is the UNBELIEVABLE staff. The staff are so warm and welcoming and made our stay truly one-of-a-kind. Chef Manuel made incredible meals and worked with us on some dietary restrictions. His chilaquiles were awesome! Luis, the staff bartender, is super friendly and makes delicious drinks. He was always on the ready to make drinks and bring out water whenever we needed. Angel is a great asset in the chef’s kitchen and housekeeper Vicky kept everything tidy. They were all exceptional. The owner, Barbara was also great to work with. She helped us get everything planned from airport transportation to our catamaran excursion.

Overall, we had a good time. There were several issues that the owner was made aware of like leaking a/c unit, tiles falling off the pool walls, etc. One member from our party slipped and fell because of the leaky unit. The owner sent someone to fix it, but it really wasn't fixed. We needed to have towels under the unit to prevent another fall. The beach and water was perfect. The food prepared was great every meal. The staff working there were nice and helpful. Neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Would visit again, hoping the owner will take care of the little issues.

Absolutely Fabulous!
We just returned from our stay at Villa Vidorra and the experience was over the top. We felt like royalty. The villa was stunning and luxurious, even better than the photos. The beach was beautiful with day beds, hammocks and lounges. We had massages on the beach and used the snorkel equipment and kayaks every day to explore the reef. Saw lots of colorful fish, eagle rays, lobster, some eels and a couple turtles. The best part was the staff and the food. They were all so much fun and the meals were delicious. Whenever we needed something it just appeared. All of our family members had an amazing time. We can’t wait to go back!

Amazing Experience!
Full week with our three grown kids, their spouses, and four granddaughters... The property was amazing, interior, exterior, pool and beach! The staff was outstanding from breakfast through dinner including mid-day Margaritas for the adults and smoothies for the kids. The owner, Barbara, was incredibly helpful with advice for transport for 11 of us from and back to the airport and excursions. Within a couple of days of arrival we were all trying to figure out how and when we could repeat.

Amazing House & Amazing Staff
Villa Vidorra was a great place to spend your Cancun/Tulum vacation. The staff was UNBELIEVABLE, and the private bay right out back was great! If you have the stamina to snorkle there, there is an amazing reef around 1km off the coast by the wave break. If you plan on driving a lot, maybe best to rent a car, as the taxis can be a little pricey in the area, though otherwise the staff and host were able to arrange all of our pickups for us with ease.

Manuel (head chef) and Luis (bartender) were simply the best. They made the vacation. The other staff members were great too. The quality of the food was amazing. We could go on and on about Manuel's culinary talents. But his managerial skills made a huge difference as well. It's like having an onsite property manager.

Fabulous place for a family vacation
We traveled with our adult children, 4 grandchildren, and my son's mother in law. Villa Vidorra is as or more beautiful than its pictures. We had an extremely relaxing and luxurious family vacation together. The staff were all friendly, caring, and extremely competent. Food was delicious. They catered to our tastes, including our fussy grandchildren. We requested mostly local cuisine which was prepared in an authentic manner. Fresh fish, cochinita pibil, chicken mole, all wonderful. Luis the bartender made tasty drinks, and the children loved their fresh fruit smoothies. Soliman Bay is quiet and relaxed, unlike most of the Mayan Riviera. Calm because reef protected, clear warm water. Lots of sea grass and sargasso, which were swept on a regular basis. Not a great snorkel destination: a few isolated coral heads. My daughter said snorkeling closer to the fringing reef was somewhat better./ The house itself is extremely comfortable, with lots of areas indoors and outdoors to relax and socialize. We rarely left the Villa during our week there, though we did enjoy a tour of the Sian Ka'an Bioreserve a little bit south of Tulum. Our highest recommendation.

Exactly as promised, exactly what we needed
The property is lovely and well-maintained. The staff is unbelievable, each one made us feel so welcome, and they attended to our needs (desires) promptly with smiles on their faces. The food was exceptional, the drinks flowed, and they even did our laundry. The owner helped us find and book different excursions, covid tests, yoga, and massages (all of which were excellent) and was responsive to all our questions during the week. Special shoutout to Manuel, Jalil and Vicky for making the 9 of us feel like royalty.

Everything you need all in one place!
If you are looking for a vacation with all the amenities all in one place, look no more. The house is perfect for a group with a pool and the beach all within steps of each other. Communication from the property managers was seamless and timely. Manuel and his staff are top-notch. The food and drinks were delicious. The house was cleaned daily and everything we needed to relax and enjoy the property was there for us. The excursions recommended by the property manager were fun and safe. Guests should plan to spend money on drinks/meals daily as this is not included in the price. The staff relies on and expects significant tipping upon departure. We were happy to do so, though the need for that much cash wasn't trivial. Second, providing information or a connection for transportation to get around the area (and a reasonable estimate for cost) would be helpful. We were very happy with our time at Villa Vidorra. We highly recommend this property and hope to be back in the near future!

Absolutely amazing, A must stay!
From the minute we arrived to the minute we left, it was an amazing experience. The wonderful team is so attentive, friendly and offered us outstanding service! The home is beautiful and you walk out the back door and you are to a beautiful beach within a few steps! We actually try to book another stay while we were there but because the property is so amazing and run so smoothly, it books very quickly! We can’t wait to go back!

I cannot put into words how amazing our trip was. From the second we got there to the second we left we were treated like royalty. Luis and his team are THE BEST - the food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were even better! The cleaning staff was on their A game - I woke up, went downstairs to a beautiful breakfast, and back up to my perfectly cleaned room less than an hour later. My friends and I had the most amazing time and I HIGHLY recommend. We will be back !!!

Wow! This villa was paradise!
Our stay at Villa Vidorra was incredible. We are seasoned travelers and always stay at luxury accommodations (Montage, Ritz, Four Seasons). Our time spent at this villa was the best travel experience we’ve ever had. We spent a lot of time searching for the right place to take our families on vacation. The lead up and help we got from the owners helped make everything so easy. They organized transportation for us, a fishing excursion, our Covid tests, and more. When we got there the property was even better than the pictures showed online. So much detail and there was tons of space for us all to spread out. It felt like we had a mini resort all to ourselves. The beach was stunning and we pretty much spent all our days there. There was snorkel equipment for us to use and we went out on the stand up paddle boards every day. Luis the bartender would bring us cocktails to the beach and make smoothies for the kids. There was always appetizers and little snacks throughout the day. The staff was amazing and took care of our every need. The maid was even going around folding and organizing all the clothes and stuff the kids were throwing around. We saw her clean the lenses on my wifes sunglasses and never said a thing. The food was delicious and we were able to order anything we wanted. We went out to eat one night but decided after that it didn’t make sense because we had to transport and it was cheaper and the meals just as good if we stayed home. Overall the experience was awesome and we will definitely be booking another stay there.

Perfect!!
Chris and Barbara’s home was exactly as we hoped for. The staff were fantastic, home well appointed and location perfect. There was a strange rooster sound at night, which we learned was actually a recording played by disgruntled neighbors but by keeping the doors and Windows closed at night, you don’t hear it as much. There is also a strange artistic collection down by the beach erected by the same neighbors, which is a little out of place but didn’t take away from our experience. Overall, I would highly recommend this home. There is SO much space and seating areas to retreat to if you need some quiet time, the staff make the experience so enjoyable and the owners are extremely helpful. We will definantley be returning!

This is our 5th vacation at Villa Vidorra. The house and location are breathtaking but more than that, the owners and staff are the reason we keep returning. Manuel and crew make better meals than you would get in a 5 star restaurant and Louis keeps you supplied with delicious cocktails with “just a little bit of rum”. Vicky keeps the house spotless. Absolutely Breathtaking!
This was the BEST and most RELAXING vacation our family has ever had! First of all, the staff was the most memorable part! Luis and Manny's attention to every detail with drinks and food was outstanding! Luis made the yummiest drinks for the adults and even special ones for the kids. The food… Manny and the staff accommodated the adults and the kids – everything was homemade! The entire household staff was wonderful but quietly unseen. We were a group of 11: 6 adults, 5 kids ages 2-13. Everyone was happy and did not want to leave! Tons of space for the older kids to do their own thing and great for the little ones as well. The beach was so beautiful and it seemed like we were the only ones on it. Lastly, Barbara & Chris helped to arrange everything for us: airport transportation, massages, whale shark diving, Mariachi band, Tulum ruins, and even going above and beyond to get my husband a GoPro before all our adventures! We couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate my sister's birthday!!! Thank you Villa Vidorra!!!!!!

Paradise at Villa Vidorra
Hi, we had an amazing week at Villa Vidorra. The house is one of the nicest on the beach, great access to beautiful water. Wonderful outdoors area to relax by the pool (spent a lot of time in the water). The staff at the house make it a perfect stay - wonderful cook and bartender attend to every desire! The house is well appointed for a group with rooms on both side of house (very quiet) - can't wait to go back!

Our favorite family vacation of all time!
I cannot say enough glowing things about Villa Vidorra. We went as an extended family with guests ranging between ages 2 to 75 and the house was perfect for all! As parents of young children, this house afforded us the comfort of knowing our children could run free and play all day in the front or back yards while still being contained within an essentially gated yard - not to mention all of the very caring staff and security guards who were extra pairs of eyes for us. The pool was also ideally created for children as it has multiple levels. Our 5 year old used this to finally feel the courage to trust himself to swim. By the end of the week he was enthusiastically swimming the length of the pool by himself. All the while our 2 year old had multiple large stairs/platforms to play on endlessly with excessive water toys that Barbara bought for her. This is just one example of how Barbara was the consummate hostess. She was easily accessible to us for random needs and questions throughout our stay. She stopped by briefly on occasion as well to check in with us, but never made us feel that she was overbearing in any sense. She arranged massages (best all of us had ever had!) as well as in house pedicures. She also helped us easily arrange safe and reliable transportation to and from airport and guided us to a catamaran company with whom we were very pleased. The home itself is as beautiful as pictured, if not even more so! The bedrooms are very spatious and bathrooms equally so. Individualized air conditioning units for each room were also an added bonus. Above all, the staff were our best surprise of the trip. We anticipated enjoying having a chef and bartender as well as daily cleaner, but we did not anticipate the incredible joy that our quickly forming relationships with them would give to us! I cannot emphasize enough the truly unbeatable quality of the exceptional food and creativity of the drinks - but even better was the care with which they were created and served. Not to mention that Luis made my children fresh smoothies of their choice all day long and Manuel made sure there was always a child-friendly option at all of our meals. On our last evening the staff through our two children a Spider-Man themed birthday party after they had watched my son pretend to be Spider-Man all week long. They decorated and bought a piñata but most notably, they enjoyed celebrating with us and their presence made the party feel extra special to us!

UNbelieveable!
This vacation was a truly relaxing one. We didn’t have to cook or clean. We just needed to be present to fully enjoy it. W.O.W.! The owner was present when we arrived, and agin upon our departure. Additionally, they were available at any time by phone. An Absolutely Amazing property. It was as if we were in our own private hotel. Or perhaps as if we were royalty. Extremely comfortable for our family of 11 (8 adults, 3 children (11-13-16)). Wonderful and attentive staff, especially the kitchen crew who work long days and appear to love pleasing their guests. We had personally customized meals (three each day), and all adults and children considered them Excellent. Unbelievably excellent, made from scratch, food - which made going elsewhere unnecessary. Bartender always nearby, including the beach. Besides adult beverages, the kids enjoyed their "virgin" beverages. All in unlimited supply. Privacy all around, from the security gate to enter this section of properties, to the house, the beach, and the very private pool. Comfortable seating in all living, dining, and lounging areas, both inside and outside. Plenty of sunny and shady areas at both the beach and the pool to accommodate all interests. We enjoyed venturing in to the calm bay where one can walk many many yards, as well as snorkeling out even farther. All enjoyed the pool, both day and night. Onsite Massages were set up easily via email to owner. We had 30 minutes for the 11 and 13 year olds, 60 and 90 minutes for several adults. Very reasonably priced, and they were exceptionally good. A truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, at an exceptional custom-designed and built property - which we all hope comes true more than once for our family.

We stayed in March 2018 for Spring Break with another family. 4 adults and 5 kids ages 5 to 9. The home is beyond beautiful and the staff is amazing! Great food and drinks and very attentive staff. The owner is on top of everything and goes above and beyond to ensure that your stay is absolutely perfect! The pool and beach areas are perfect. I don't think there is anything that we would have changed. A picture perfect vacation spot!

Fabulous week in Paradise!!
This five-star home will not disappoint! From the beautiful home, to the outdoor oasis, to the top-notch staff...we felt like we were living in the lap of luxury! My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary with four of our close friend couples. It was such an awesome week! The food prepared by the three wonderful chefs was simply amazing! The bartender was always there ready to fill your cup with your favorite drink or one of his specialties. The homeowners were so gracious in helping with any special requests. Can't wait to return!

A magnificent house and surroundings with a staff that performs magic
This magnificent home accommodated our three generation family of 11 with five lovely bedroom/ bath suites and many areas for socializing indoors as well as outdoors. Whether swimming in the pool or enjoying the lounge areas surrounding it, kayaking or surfing in the ocean, or walking along the beach, there were many opportunities to be together or to have privacy. The caring chefs created delicious works of art that catered to every taste and the bartender had a special sense for serving the best drinks for children and adults at just the right time each day. During tours of local ruins, we visited a very nice restaurant but the staff at Villa Vidorra easily outdid their offerings. The maids and caretaker maintain a pristine dwelling and added to our comfort. If I could select "six stars" that's how I would rate our week's stay. The owners were very helpful to our planning and our high expectations were exceeded by the reality. Kudos to Manuel and his brothers and to Luis for helping us make wonderful memories.

SO worth it!
Villa Vidorra was everything and more than we read about it. The best staff, attending to every need. Amazing food prepared by the chef and his crew. So many places to spread out and relax. Crystal clear water in the bay, poolside arbor and lounge areas, shaded areas, hammocks and day beds on the beach. No one wanted to leave 💜 Highly recommend it and we already want to go back.

Loved it!!
The property was beautiful and spotlessly maintained. The staff were attentive and made our stay fun and completely carefree. The food was delicious and varied and the drinks inventive and plentiful! We couldn't have asked for anything more!!

This is an amazing property! Well maintained and comfortable for our group of 13. (7 adults and 6 children) The staff was fantastic and food and drinks were wonderful. My adult kids said it was the best family vacation ever. All you had to do was sit back and enjoy the beautiful beach, bay, pool and home.

AMAZING!!!
Our family of 8 was fortunate to stay at Villa Vidorra 12/2016 for one week. I will say that it was truly a vacation of a lifetime. The Villa is gorgeous, the beach is spectacular, the staff was amazing, particularly our bartender Luis who was wonderful. The food and service were 5 star. We could not have had a better time. I also want to mention the exceptional service that I received from the owner Barbara who was so helpfull in taking the time to help me plan our transportation and activities for our stay. She gave me some wonderful suggestions and helped me make reservations, transportation, etc...which made the experience even that much better. Our stay and activities went like clockwork. What a gem she is. I cannot say enough good things about our experience at the Villa and would recommend it to anyone who wants a truly memorable vacation. It is better than advertised and pictured. What an AMAZING stay for me and my family. Would go again in a heat beat. Well worth every penny spent. The Penleys

No reason to leave!
Wonderfully appointed villa with everything you need to enjoy your hard earned vacation. Only minor issues that were quickly remedied by Barbara and staff! The staff are fantastic and the food excellent!

Simply Paradise!
Villa Vidorra is absolutely stunning situated on the best part of Soliman Bay. Barbara's staff is attentive and so wonderful to work with; we dined on the most delicious meals prepared by Manual, Roberto and Carlos and were taken care of every minute by our bartender, Luis. Barbara coordinated trips to cenotes, ruins, deep sea fishing and even a Mariachi band for my husband's birthday! It was a trip like no other and we are anxious to return again in the future. If you are ready to snorkel with sting rays and turtles, paddle board beautiful Soliman Bay and live in luxury then you don't want to miss out on Villa Vidorra.

The property is beautiful, it is very well kept and the architectural details are gorgeous! The house staff is amazing, they go out of their way and beyond to make sure you are happy, comfy and enjoying your vacation. Manuel (the Chef) is incredible...he will delight you with a variety of dishes cooked to perfection and Luis (the Bartender) will keep you happy with his amazing drinks (love love love his Pina Coladas!) and they keep on coming, he will make sure that while you are out sunbathing you keep hidrated, he will bring whatever it is that you like. Vicky (the Housekeeper) is the sweetest...once you meet all of them you will understand. Chuck (the Owner) drops by everyday to make sure all is going well and things are flowing as they should. The location is amazing, it is in a very quiet area and the beach in front of the house is absolutely breathtaking....you will not regret choosing this home for your next vacation, it is an awesome destination!

Fabulous! Over the top!
Five stars aren't enough for this fantastic place right on the beach. Too many really great features to list them all but here are some that made our three-generation holiday for 16 family members the best ever: *child proof and child friendly. Swimming pool has a wonderful shallow "little kids end" so even the baby could splash around. Loads of pool toys to keep older kids occupied. Even the beach was kid-friendly--extremely shallow and placid waters meant no worries about dangerous waves or kids getting in too deep. Tv room had Xbox games for after dinner fun. High hairs and cribs available and set up for our arrival. *marvelous friendly staff. Luis kept the coolers and mixed drinks coming, suggesting terrific concoctions before we even knew we were thirsty. Chef Manuel and his crew shopped for and prepared a magnificent sit-down breakfast every morning followed by lunches, snacks and dinner all cooked to order. His specialty is Mexican cuisine but he had worked in a steakhouse previously so be sure to ask for his great homemade french fries. * plenty of space. Four en-suite spacious bedrooms with marble baths and walk in showers, plus a great loft with ocean-front balcony that had two additional single beds and sofas. So there was never any feeling of being cramped. Two of the bedrooms have both a king bed and a queen bed -- just the ticket mom, dad and kids. * Great very, very quiet location. The house is right next to a small hotel that hosted a noisy wedding our first night at the Villa. After that we could almost believe that we were alone on out deserted island--only the sound of waves. Nothing commercial in the area so if you crave the glitzy club scene, this is not the place for you. That said, our gang found Soliman not too far from water park, architectural ruins, mega-grocery store and Tulum. We ran out of time before visiting cenotes in the area. * lots of toys- kayaks, paddle boards and snorkel gear for the beach. Sound system. Pool light show. Large tv with Seattle (?) cable, premium channels and games. Wifi. *. Great doing business with Barbara and Chris. Payment schedule handled quickly and in the specified installments. Deposit was returned within the week of our departure without any hassle. Barbara helped us set up transfers from airport with Namaste Transport. We all want to return and will definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for an over-the-too vacation. Much more to rave about at V V!

Fabulous!
For one of those "milestone" birthdays, I took my three children and their families to Villa Vidorra in January 2016 -- 16 of us in all counting the baby. Everything was perfect. Staying at the Villa was the perfect choice. Plenty of room for everyone. Three wonderful meals a day plus the great drinks mixed up by Luis the bartender. The villa is childproof and child perfect. Plenty of shallow water in the pool for the little ones and the beach also has shallow and calm water. No worries about children taking risks. And clear water and plenty of fish made snorkeling a delight. Not to mention kayaks and paddle boards. Our gang used them all and worked up appetites for more of the great food prepared by chef Manuel and his crew Lots to do in the area. Excursions to archeological ruins, water park, Tulum beach. Cenotes and other spots were on our list but will have to wait until next time. We were having such a good time at the Villa that we did not get out and about as much as we expected. Barbara was a great hands-on hostess and checked in with us every day in case there were problems. She also helped us coordinate travel to and from the Cancun airport. Barbara and Chris handled the billing and payment schedule in a very business like manner and the security deposit was returned within the same week our trip concluded. No hassles. Villa Vidorra was the dream setting for a fabulous family vacation. Kids, teens, adults and oldsters all found it the perfect setting for our week together.
