I like that my room was spacious. I did not like that I paid extra for a private pool but Instead received what looked more like a over sized bathtub for two (or small jacuzzi). I love to swim so when on vacation that is important to me so I was upset that I couldn't swim? Also I did not like that the hotel is surrounded by construction and basically in the middle of nowhere. Lastly I did like the massage that came with my room. The massage was amazing.

No elevator so no considerations for older persons. Had to pay for an extra room because of that. I had massages included and never got them due to very poor communication with staff . All that and no desire to compensate in other ways. The property is located in an area where there are no modern roads. I was not impressed.

Upon arriving to the location first of all I was surprised on how the hotel and area looked I thought there was a mistake. It feels like your in the middle of no where and there's not much close by. You have to either take a taxi which can be expensive or try to figure a way to get around. My first day I had to ask if they can switch my room because it wasn't clean but thankfully they were accommodating, they provided us with another room. There's a bar but not enough selections. There's no tv in the rooms on the lower levels. The hotel is nice, quiet and comfortable but I feel once these issues are addressed it will be a great hotel to stay at.

When we arrived, a very friendly lady which name I forgot greeted us and educated us on the facilities, room key, Wi-Fi etc. As advertised there was supposed to be a functional bar, with drinks, hookah etc. Come to find out the bartender quit a few days before we arrived the attendant said. There was also nothing in walking distance to eat or grab a drink outside of the rooftop bar across the street in which we had to eat each day as a first meal, and we were the only ones there each day. Overall the hotel is very nice but the only amenitie you get is the pool

The property itself was really nice - modern, clean, and the large 1 bed with rooftop pool was a nice addition for night time swims. The daily cleaning was amazing and they replaced the bed sheets every 3 days which was awesome. All the staff is really nice and helpful, but sometimes service a miss like breakfast taking 45min to make. I worked remotely for 2 weeks and sometimes the Wi-Fi could be spotty. The water cutout in the mornings a few times. I think that may just be the area. The roads are terrible, but I had a car and you get used to it. There was a loud, like I could feel my room shake, DJ party kitty corner on Saturday from 9pm-6am, which was interesting. Overall for what I did which was work remotely I would have probably chosen an Airbnb in a newer build around the area, I think that would have been a better value.

Nice hotel roads are ugly to get thru . Construction is next door no peace you can hear their loud music early in the morning they stare when you’re in your private pool so no privacy at all shower is outside . I didn’t like .that at all . You can see thru clearly they actually stay living there in the construction site. They have a sliding door that does not lock and I had my 4 yr old with me so I had to be on top of her not opening very stressing .

Great hotel but... be careful if it rains!
The accomodations are exactly as pictured. The place is tastefully decorated and overall well designed. I reserved the two bedroom unit with access to private roof top lounge pool. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the service from the gentleman at the the bar was attentive and friendly. Leo who helped us at checkin and check out was also lovely to deal with and Daniela has been supportive and helpful with some additional questions I had about our stay. The space of the property is small, but well used, with the pool in the centre and common spaces on the roof - we enjoyed the space with hammocks to lounge. The property was clean and was more than adequate for our one night stay. I think I would personally want a bit more space for a longer stay, but was very happy with what was on offer. The only concern was that there was a major down pour and the majority of our living space, my bedroom and bathroom were flooded! The staircase to the rooftop basically became a fountain! Staff indicated that they had never encountered this before - and a more proactive and timely approach to offering solutions would have been appreciated. Ultimately, they moved us to a different unit and all was well, but given that there are limited number of rooms, I'm not sure what the solution would have been if they had been fully booked. Would stay here again despite this, but would not opt for the roof top unit again just in case. Thank you Majaro for our first night's stay in Tulum!

Nice hotel, clean, convenient and safe location. The on-site restaurant had great breakfast. Staff and other hotel guests were very friendly. Check in process involved multiple steps such as downloading an app for your room key, scanning a QR code for the wi-fi. I would recommend having a pre check in or even notifying guests of check in process prior to arrival to allow them to prepare. Lastly, the security man was a little odd. If we weren’t told that he was security you would just think he was a stranger lingering around in the area. The first night we arrived he was sitting across the street on the side walk. He never interacted with us once while there for 2 nights. Overall great hotel! Highly recommend but would encourage management to make those minor adjustments!

This hotel of place was in a remote area nothing around but other building under construction. The front desk was outside tiny 😳 front desk staff was not really friendly they had to be reminded several times of things So uncaring no personality Food was horrible and extremely expensive!!! They didn't even offer free coffee at least !! The kitchens closed at 4pm !!! What the heck?? No food in the area you have to take a taxi to find food or walk 30 minutes Roads around the hotel horrible!!! This place to me was a nightmare!!! The pictures on the website only show inside.. Room was ok Internet kept going in and out... Only two people there were kind. The lady that cleans the rooms and one of the bar guys Everyone else was so cold unkind uncaring and unprofessional They even tried to charge me again at check in ? !! When i had already booked in advance Tulum was not what i thought it would be Bad experience all around from airport transportation to hotel experience to tulum itself horrible I will never return to Tulum or that hotel again i DON'T RECOMMEND IT unless you like remote areas where you have to hunt for food after 4pm Even the bar closed at 11?? And drinks were not great but very expensive This property needs new management new staff and better amenities... Just horrible 😞 😢

I loved the Majaro! Everything about it was nice, I highly recommend the luxury suite with the rooftop pool. The service was amazing and the food was okay, the breakfast is better than the lunch for sure.

The personal plunge pool was definitely the selling point on this hotel. Its great having your own pool that opens up right in your room. I just wish that they disclose that its *not* heated - as this greatly limited our use of the pool since the water was cold. I enjoyed having the openness of the room with the outside, however at times the noise from the outside was very loud as you can hear everything if other people have their doors open as well. I liked their 3 for 2 drink special, however I wish that the bar/restaurant stayed open until later. The restaurant closes at 4PM which is very early into the day and given that there's nothing around the restaurant it made it difficult in picking up food at a later time.

Minibar was already missing ideas and we were charged also they claim there was 3 sets of glasses but actually had 2 sets and they charged us for missing glasses. Never again I would go there.

Every aspect was clean and in good condition and in a quiet location. The service of the concierge exceptional. Food was good and well presented. But only breakfast & snacks no dinner service, if you have your own transport not an issue. However if not you will need a taxi for any other food or bar sites there are no other options within walking distance.

I absolutely loved my stay at Majaro! The entire staff were extremely accommodating, the brunch was delicious, and the rooms were quiet and clean. There was so much space to move around, we felt like we were staying in a condo instead of a hotel. The plunge pool in our room truly took it over the top. Our concierge, Fede made our trip so memorable and provided us with the best recommendations throughout our stay. He truly made our trip one for the books!! Will definitely be back!

It was a gorgeous hotel and we stayed in a beautiful room with a plunge pool. The main pool was lovely and was warm. The guys were helpful during check in. We loved our stay.

The room was amazing and the pool view . Also , the reception host fede was very helpful in getting us taxis and restaurant reservations. However , we didn't like the room service . No coffee and machine was broken . Breakfast item wasnt good either . They should work on it to gather more crowd at the bar and breakfast

Boutique hotel just minutes away from Tulum Centro
Majaro was the perfect space for my solo travel experience. I felt abundantly safe and taken care of at this trendy boutique hotel. My room and private pool felt ultra luxurious. And the staff at Majaro were amazing. Special thanks to Fede! He was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond by providing recommendations, booking taxis, etc. Excellent customer service, you won't regret staying here!

In pictures everything looks great right. If they had shown the roads to get there it would be a definate no. Rent a grader. At least do a touch up. The plunge pool didn't seem clean. Check in process took 15 to 20 mins. They made us download an app to open the door. Why go thru all that for one night stay??! Worst part of all was the light went out in the morning in the middle of getting ready. We lost over an hour and ended up using the plunge pool to rinse off . But I got a msg kind enough sayin they would allow a late check out. Like really? What other choice do we have? Youd force us out with soap on us? Or a female with wet hair not allowing her to hairdry? Could definitely do better my friends. Lose the app, Fix your road, get a generator.

Such a beautiful boutique hotel, and relatively close to the downtown strip (Tulum central). The hotel manager (Rene) is very helpful and was always supportive of our needs. During our stay, it was very quiet and pleasant and we basically had the pool to ourselves. The shared premises are very well maintained and always clean, and the individual hotel rooms are cleaned every day, so you get fresh bedding and a restock of toiletries/coffee every day. There is a lot of construction in the area which we expected, so beware of loud noise during the day and dirty unfinished roads.

Hidden GEM
Such an amazing stay BUT I must say the hotel manager RC, made our stay absolutely amazing. From booking taxis, to recommending amazing restaurants, he went above and beyond! The hotel itself is a gorgeous boutique style hidden gem with such a warm yet modern feel to it. If you’re looking for a relaxing stay, this is the place!
