We have stayed in the suite before and it was fabulous, but this time we were told there was only one room available. The room was in the corner next to staff activities and didn’t smell good. The experience in this Hotel will depend on the room.

This hotel was amazing. The staff were friendly, helpful and the service was 5*. Clean property with great facilities. The spa was great value for money, clean and the hamam and massage was 5*. Would recommend this property and will stay here again.

The Dar El Marsa has to be one of the premier hotels in La Marsa in an unrivalled location on Marsa Plage, the beach promenade. I loved spending time on the balcony of my beach-facing room, and thoroughly recommend the extra cost. The hotel is modern and very stylish. The rooms are wonderful and have an understated resort feel to them. Breakfast will suit every palette. I will definitely go back.

Breakfast was terrible. hardly any food and whet there was was old and unhygienic. many flies in the breakfast area. I'd rate the breakfast experience 2/10. Hotel was generally OK but let down by the breakfast. No where near 5*. Hotel 4*. Breakfast 1*

Boonjour, J ai quitté l hotel vu que ma reservation n a pas ete respectée bien que j ai fait deux appels par phone pour preciser au service reservation pour chambre vue sur mer ce qui m a ete confirme par phone. A cela s ajoute le personnel a la reveption n etait pas correct dans son langage. Malgré ces contraintes dues au non recpect de l engagement de l hotel , la recptionniste M avait indiqué que le premiere nuitée me sera facturee. Quelle audace!

The staff is super nice and honest especially Nora on the front desk manager she made sure that I got back jewelry that I left in the room. The location is excellent to go out for dinning and shopping. And the beach is across the street . The breakfast is excellent . Thank you team dar El marsa .

Nice location hotel

The hotel at good location, opposite the corniche. Restaurants and cafes at walking distance. Breakfast standard in quality and quantity. Staff were polite. The service was behind. Requested room service didn't arrive.

A pleasant stay

A comfortable hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. A good location right on the front close to many restaurants and the beach. We had a sea view room which meant we were at the front of the hotel on a busy road which could be a bit noisy and the bathroom was small and not well designed with a large sink taking up too much room and the shower was over the bath which was so high it had a step to get in, not good if you're a little immobile. A very nice roof top bar and restaurant.

I booked a sea view room and when I arrived I was not given a sea view room. I was not reimbursed for the downgraded room or inconvenience. Beautiful rooftop and nice people. However, I was disrespected because my room that I paod for was given away. Hotels.com did NOTHING!! Can’t get in touch with anyone from hotels.com.

Trevligt bemötande till en början. Inte 5* men kanske 4* hotell. Stranden mittemot på andra sidan vägen och ner för en trappa och en liten väg. I övrigt trist område med mycket skräp överallt. Stort rum med jättestor dubbelsäng, stor balkong med lite havsutsikt. Annorlunda badrum med stort badkar. Slitet rum, slitna sängkläder, inte helt rent, inte heller sängkläderna. Fri minibar med vatten och läsk (fylldes dock ej på). Även fritt kaffe och te. Härlig pool på takterrassen men dessvärre inga solstolar intill utan endast bord och stolar. Livemusik på takterrassen första kvällen som vi inte fick veta innan. Musiken hördes ner till oss på våning 1. Frukosten var ok med olika saker att välja på. Andra morgonen fick vi frågan om vi ville ha omelett. Vi betalde vi incheckningen men vi utcheckningen ville hotellet ha betalt ytterligare för skatt för andra natten. När vi betalade vi incheckningen var summan redan då högre än den vi hade fått bekräftelse på och nu blev den alltså ännu högre. Jag påpekade detta men enligt receptionisterna gick det inte att lägga på andra nattens skatt i deras system direkt. Ingen av de meddelade oss detta vi incheckningen, det missade de...vilket är konstigt om man är medveten om det så borde det vara en sak att säga direkt. Fick ingen ursäkt direkt för detta. Vi tror att vi blev lurade men vi hade inget att sätta emot. Personalens beteende vid utcheckningen drog ner betyget ytterligare. Var definitivt varken 4* eller 5* service.
