River Retreat in Turangi -Pets, Wi-Fi, wood burner for cooler days, spa, close to nature walks

Rapid River Retreat is located in Turangi with the river running along the end of the road.

A short walk to the end of the road will take you to the stunning river trail loop. Here you will find the crystal clear waters of the Tongariro river, the perfect place to catch trout.

This really is the perfect house to enjoy the outdoor paradise that surrounds, nature walks abound and you’re less than an hour from the mountain and 20 minutes from the Tongariro crossing.

A separate shower and toilet are found on the other side of the laundry

First floor : Bedroom 2 - has 2 king single beds

A family bathroom with a shower in the bath. A separate toilet is next to the bathroom.

Please take care on the spiral stairs and note the drop from the seating around the deck. Children to be supervised.

The entire property and grounds are yours alone. Please note the grounds are not fully fenced.

Self check in. A team member is available throughout your stay.

* This property is intended for families to meet and enjoy. Whilst we are not against groups of adults having a relaxing and fun visit, we want to make it clear that parties and gatherings are not all permitted.

* Maximum number of guests on the booking to stay overnight at the property.

* Please take care when using the spa. Please take a shower before use, especially if guests are wearing make up and self tanning lotions. Should the spa need to be drained and refilled $160 will be charged.

* No glass including beer bottles are to be taken to the spa area.

Great spot for a relaxing stay in Turangi

Our family group (4 adults, 3 kids & a dog) we comfortably catered for in this house. It is a great location near the river (great for dog walks) and Creel Cafe (good coffee & scones!). The yard was fully fenced and our dog loved it. The kids had fun in the hot tub and enjoyed walking to the river & playground. Beds were comfy and the house in general was presentable and had all the facilities we needed.

Excellent whānau accommodation

Perfect sized whare for a whānau of 8 (4 adults and 4 children plus our fur baby). Hot tub was a definite hit and a nice way to unwind after the snow. The indoor fire kept the top level toasty, oil heaters also provided in each room as well. Our fur baby was kept safe with fenced outdoor spaces. Close to the shops and cafes of Tūrangi. The spiral staircase was also a hit with the older mokos. Clean, comfy and private.
