Blue Heron Farm and Retreat is a beautiful 13-acre farm located along the picturesque Nezinscot River in Turner.
Our adult-only farm stay invites you to immerse yourself in nature, enjoy stunning river views, and savor fresh and delicious farm-to-table meals.
Your private cabin is on the river with a sitting area, fire pit, and a private detached bathroom with a walk-in shower a short walk away.
Coffee/tea are complimentary each morning. We have a full service restaurant on site serving all 3 meals each day. Dinner reservations are required, send us a message if you are interested.
Canoe or kayak the lazy Nezinscot River and we will pack you a picnic lunch to enjoy on your adventure. Canoes and kayaks are provided free of charge to our guests.
Bird enthusiasts will delight in the over 50 species we have on the farm and along the river.
Fishing is always a favorite - both rod and reel and fly fishing. There are large and small mouth bass, brook and brown trout, perch, and much more.
We have a full recreation area with all kinds of lawn games.
Relax and unwind on the riverbank sitting areas.
At night, use our star gazing area for a perfect view of the Milky Way. We even have a telescope! Star Gazing Point has a perfect swimming hole - come take a swim.
Guest access Your nightly rate includes complimentary coffee/tea each morning between 7am and 9am; use of the barn, canoes and kayaks, and recreational equipment; and free high-speed Internet access.
There are no cooking facilities on site as we are not a campground.
Our Farm to Table dinners are served in our historic barn and are very popular, especially on the weekends. Reservations are required so please contact us before your arrival if you are interested in dining with us.
Our cabins and the bathhouse are powered by off grid solar so please do not bring box fans, coffee makers, hair dryers, etc. We provide a fan in each cabin and tent, and a hair dryer in each bathroom that are right sized to the system.
Other things to note The Blue Heron Farm and Retreat is a NON-SMOKING, NO CHEW & NON-VAPING property. For the health and safety of our family and our guests, smoking, chewing and vaping are not permitted anywhere on the farm. A minimum $250 cleaning fee is imposed for smoking or vaping inside the bunkhouses, bathrooms, tents or barn. Our designated outdoor smoking, chewing or vaping area is our parking lot. Your complete cooperation is requested.
Although we love all pets, unfortunately we do not allow visiting pets on our property for the safety of our animals and yours.
