Maple Lane Lake House

A family built log house by a shared private lake. Because of the size of the house we charge a 4 people base price, and $20 per person per night over that. We have a sandy beach area designated for the place and separated from a neighbor's sandy beach by a row of evergreens. Very relaxing place to bring your family and friends. Beautiful quiet setting to enjoy God's creation. Enjoy hearing the birds from your open window early in the morning, or the rooster crowing to announce the arrival of another day. Take a tour of the farm and garden for a relaxing stroll, or launch a canoe in the lake for a peaceful water adventure. If you enjoy visiting, we are happy to learn to know our vacationers, and spend some time answering questions or discussing the farm and garden, and more.

Great family location

Wonderful location for our large family group. Kids enjoyed the water and seeing the farm animals. It had plenty of outside activities to keep them busy. Porches were great for sitting and watching them or just absorbing the beautifully area.

Mushroom hunting trip

What a great, peaceful place. From the eagle watching over us at the fire pit to morning coffee on the deck overlooking the lake. I would definitely stay here again!

What a wonderful place. Our second stay.

We truly enjoy staying here. It’s beautiful and out of the way and you won’t be bothered. It’s a working farm/log cabin builder so you get to see some real neat sites and if you love animals you won’t be disappointed. I’d give them 6 stars if possible and recommend anyone give it a try.

Perfect for a large group

Our stay was for a family Christmas with family members coming from different parts of Canada and the US. The lake house was plenty big enough for our whole group and offered loads of options for both indoor and outdoor activities. The cottage was clean and well appointed and anything we needed help with was quickly explained or corrected by the host who was readily available. It was a lovely stay.

Another great stay. Beautiful home. Clean. So thankful for all the extra leaves for the table, so we could all eat together. Beautiful area. Loved the zip line, walks in the woods, and even getting a chance to see (and talk to 😁) the chickens, goats, and pigs.

Beautiful Getaway

Our family of four stayed here with friends last fall and were greeted by an amazing landscape in full fall color. This year we returned and brought some new families to enjoy the serenity and peace this property had to offer. It is close to Cadillac for shopping and hikes at Wm. Mitchell State Park. Some of our group chose to stay on the grounds and enjoy the sounds and sights of the neighboring farms. Everyone had a wonderful time!

Exceptional Clean, Comfortable Place!

We spent a relaxing weekend at this lovely place. Our group was older individuals, and we found getting around the house very easy. Nice and roomy, beds and furniture all comfortable. And we couldn’t believe how clean it was! A couple of the guys even cut some fish in the pond. We will definitely be staying here again.

Great stay

My family and I came to the area for our annual ski weekend. We enjoyed house very much--and would stay again. Our host was friendly and available for questions. The layout of the space worked well for our large group with plenty of chairs, couch space and room to expand. The kitchen was complete with everything we could need & we like to do a lot of cooking. Bathrooms were generously supplied with towels and amenities.

Large Groups or Quite get away

The pictures do not show how beautiful this place really is. There is so many activities outside. The inside is huge. It was nice to get my family all together in one place. I don't want to forget to mention how clean it was! Hands down we decided we will be coming back!

Relaxing and peaceful

Our week here was just wonderful! Our kids enjoyed the lake so much… the kayaks, rowboat and canoes, the rope swing and fishing were excellent. The house was as pictured and completely stocked with everything you might need. The ping pong table got lots of use as did the available games. We also loved seeing the animals and their babies. We highly recommend this property to families large and small! Property manager Jesse was attentive to our needs in a timely fashion.

Beautiful experience!

Absolutely beautiful property with so many amazing things to do. Our family group of 17 (ages 3-70!) had plenty of room, and there was so much to keep everyone busy. We spent our week canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and hanging out by the campfire. The kids absolutely loved the trampoline, swings, and zip-line. Not to mention the gorgeous view from the porch and the relaxing quiet and solitude. Every moment was perfect.

Peaceful cabin by a lake

A beautiful cabin with a beautiful view of the lake! We had a get-together with my father, my siblings and their families. The living room was perfect for a large group to comfortably talk. The kitchen was spacious to allow a few cooks/helpers to work on a meal. And the lake offered very nice opportunities for boating and rock skipping. The renting family was helpful and kind. Everyone enjoyed the stay. Thank you for such a peaceful location and the ability to reconnect with family!
