"Nice new and clean place with good access and parking. Nice view of the mountain from the lounge. Had the pleasure of the company of the neighbour's cat Crackers. He's a hard case thinks he owns the joint. A couple of negatives for us were missing window coverings in the kitchen and one in the lounge left us feeling exposed at night. A few noisy dogs at a property across the driveway."

"We enjoyed this property’s warm fireplace that heated the house, decks we could sit out on and enjoy the view. It’s seclusion and amenities including the continental breakfast. Had nice thick curtains for a good sleep in. We enjoyed the entertainment system watching dvd movies, and played some of the board games provided. The house is stylishly decorated.The house cat, named Kitten , is peaceful and loves her head massaged. We had a lovely stay. Thank you."

"Nice spacious unit with everything you need. The TV was small and just free to air stations but I believe they are in the middle of upgrading TVs to all room. The motel apparently has spectacular views to Mt Taranaki but unfortunately there was too much fog and cloud during my visit to see it. Would definitely stay again if visiting Hawera"

"Absolutely stunning views of Mt. Taranaki! Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Basecamp. Great communication with host, very clean and had everything we needed. Our boys loved the basketball hoop and game garage. Easy check in and check out. 12 mins from gorgeous hiking trails.Everything was as pictured, but even more stunning in person. Thank you for such a warm welcome and comfortable stay! 10 out of 10!!"
