Travel only 18 miles down gorgeous Hwy 80 Beach Road from Historic Downtown Savannah to the center of Tybee Island on 12th Street between Butler Avenue and the Atlantic Ocean to our private home seconds from the boardwalk which crosses over the sea oat covered dunes kissing the sand and you have found your ultimate 'Beach Retreat' ... Rowland's Retreat UPSTAIRS LEVEL is a nicely furnished NEWLY RENOVATED spacious 4 Bedroom, 2 Full Bathroom 1400 square foot private home UPPER LEVEL ONLY that sleeps 10 and has everything one needs for a memorable beach retreat. Comfortable Grand upper deck with ocean views. Hanging porch swing to enjoy the afternoon breezes and outdoor HOT/COLD shower to clean up after a long day on the beach. Open & airy NEWLY RENOVATED interior featuring nicely furnished spacious bedrooms, open kitchen and dining area ascending into the great room, and a full rear sunroom with flatscreen TV's w/DVD. A girls trip to remember!

Suzanne’s home was perfect! The location can’t be beat, steps from the beach, restaurants and grocery store. The house is beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Suzanne was so attentive and made sure our stay was enjoyable. We will for sure book this house again.

Unbelievable experience

My family and I had an amazing time in Tybee together and this house was perfect for us. Plenty of space for a large group to spread out, a short walk from the beach, and convenient shops/food nearby. Host was available at all times and was extremely helpful and kind. Can’t wait to visit again!

We had a family beach weekend. The house met our needs perfectly, and the location was a two-minute walk to the beach. The house was stocked with lots of kitchen stuff, beach towels, and beach chairs. It was a quick walk to the IGA for more ice. The deck was perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails.

Mrs. Suzanne goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is everything you could ever imagine! This home is clean and very well taken care of. We came down for my brothers wedding and it was the best experience ever! Family weekend getaway

Property was very nice and spacious and provided enough bedding for our group of 5 adults and 3 children. We were able to cook breakfast in the morning as the grocery store was within walking distance. Took us 1 minute to walk from the house to the pier. Amazing Property

This was such a wonderful property for our family vacation. It was so close to everything from beach to restaurants. We really enjoyed the beautiful deck and spent most of our time while at the house lounging on the comfy patio furniture. What a cozy beach house! Very comfortably furnished with nice linens and sufficient kitchen utensils, plates, etc. We felt like we were staying at someone's home. Our host was a great communicator. Excellent location. Just steps from the beach boardwalk to the ocean and only a block away from the island grocery store. Easy to walk to restaurants, downtown area and main pier. This house was very well kept and in a prime location! The floorplan was laid out nicely and was easy to accommodate our large party. The neighbors were very friendly and the access to the beach was right out the front door. The owner was very easy to contact and eager to answer any questions and all concerns. We loved our girls getaway for the 35th anniversary of our becoming friends! The house had a nice amount of space for four friends to spread out for our stay. Comfy spots in the house and on the deck to sit and chat. Easy walk to the beach (we appreciated access to towels & chairs), as well as several restaurants and shops, including the grocery store. Very reasonable drive in to Savannah. Host was great to work with!

Great Get-Away

This property is accurately named! It truly was a retreat for my husband and I. We enjoyed the beautiful sunroom every day and had everything we could need. Suzanne was a wonderful hostess being sure to communicate with us well before our arrival and even after we arrived. We didn't need anything, but if we had, she would have gotten it for us! Looking forward to next year!

Great Girls Getaway

We enjoyed this stay very much. So close to the beach only a few steps from beach access. Watching the sun come up from the front porch was beautiful. Rooms were used efficiently for maximum capacity. It’s hard to please a group of 7 ladies but none of us had complaints! If I had to list something that could be improved upon I would say that the carpet in the bedrooms was not ideal. A few things are dated but we enjoyed the nostalgic feel and atmosphere. It’s a cozy little beach house that met all our needs. The host was thorough and had great communication. Thank you Ms Suzanne! We will be back!

Perfect Retreat

I'll say, we ended up here by accident, but I'm so glad that we did. Our original booking had some challenges due to the current state of the world & this property came up on a search. It was perfect. The rental is one story, but was so perfectly laid out that seven (relatively high maintenance) females fit ourselves and all of our things perfectly within the bedrooms and bathrooms. With two bathrooms, that was a feat. The kitchen area and the outdoor seating was always our gathering spot when we weren't at the beach - which was just a brief few steps from the door. Everything you need is here and in clean, working order. The beds were incredibly comfortable which is always uncommon in a beach house. A few girls are already looking at booking this spot for an upcoming couples trip. Mrs Suzanne was an incredible host. She was so attentive and gracious as a property owner and I'm almost sure there's not a kinder soul on Tybee. Can't wait to come back!
