About this property

Pacific Coral Retreat - Westcoast Luxury Comfort for two in Ucluelet BC

  • The Pacific Coral Retreat is a beautifully appointed, upper-level suite designed exclusively for two guests. Nestled on a peaceful cul-de-sac in the heart of Ucluelet, British Columbia, this bedroom plus loft space offers a seamless blend of cozy West Coast charm, modern luxury, and immediate access to the raw, untamed beauty of Vancouver Island’s rugged coastline.

Whether you are seeking a romantic weekend getaway, an adventurous storm-watching retreat, or a peaceful sanctuary to unplug and recharge, the Pacific Coral Retreat provides the perfect backdrop.

    The Space:

The interior design draws inspiration from our surrounding environment, utilizing soft coastal tones, subtle oceanic decor, and rich and bold wood accents that make you feel like you are a part of the rainforest.

Inside you will find the main space with a king sized bed, a small dining table, and a kitchenette including a mini fridge, toaster oven/air fryer, microwave, kettle, water filter, coffee and tea.

The ensuite bathroom includes heated floors, two sinks, a stand alone shower, and a jetted jacuzzi tub overlooking the rainforest and ocean. If you prefer soaking outside, there is a covered, two person private hot tub available exclusively for guest use.

There is also a canopy loft that places you at the highest point in the entire house and offers an incredible ocean and rainforest view. This sanctuary is a great place to rest and relax, and includes a cozy sofa and a large screen smart television. Note: the loft stairs are quite steep.

The Pacific Coral Retreat sits in one of the most desirable, geologically blessed pockets of the Ucluelet peninsula. Situated on a quiet, residential cul-de-sac with zero through-traffic, you are guaranteed a peaceful night's sleep undisturbed by highway noise or bustling crowds. Yet, you remain mere minutes from the region's most iconic landmarks.

Just a short, leisurely stroll from your doorstep lies Little Beach. This hidden gem is a sheltered, crescent-shaped cove great for hot summer beach days, or a reprieve from the wild, crashing waves found on the outer coast.

In the exact opposite direction, also within easy walking distance, is Terrace Beach, offering a moody, classic Pacific Northwest atmosphere. It is an incredible spot to watch the tide roll in, search for sea glass, or launch a paddleboard into the protected waters.

The suite offers direct, walkable access to the best outdoor attractions Ucluelet has to offer. The Wild Pacific Trail is accessible just minutes from the studio. This world-renowned, accessible trail system hugs the rugged edge of the continent, winding through dramatic old-growth rainforests and along high cliffs that overlook the volatile Pacific Ocean. The most famous section of the trail, the Lighthouse Loop, is an easy walk from your door. This 2.6-kilometre section takes you on a dramatic loop around the rocky coastline, culminating at the historic Amphitrite Point Lighthouse. Built in 1915, this active lighthouse stands as a sentinel against the Pacific. It is the ultimate vantage point for watching dramatic winter storms, spotting migrating gray whales during the spring, or witnessing some of the most vibrant, fiery sunsets North America has to offer.

When you are ready to transition from nature to culture, a short, scenic walk will bring you directly into the Ucluelet town centre. Fondly referred to by locals as "Ukee," this charming working harbour town has managed to retain its authentic, laid-back coastal identity while offering exceptional amenities for travelers. Ucluelet boasts a thriving culinary scene that punches far above its weight class.

Walking into town allows you to experience:
Artisanal Cafés: Start your morning with locally roasted espresso, fresh-baked pastries, and hearty breakfast bowls.
Craft Brewery: Visit the local brewery housed in a beautifully converted church, offering locally inspired craft beers and a vibrant community atmosphere.
Gourmet Restaurants: From upscale, ocean-view dining showcasing locally caught wild salmon and halibut, to casual food trucks serving up world-class fish tacos, there is something to satisfy every palate.
Local Shops & Culture: Stroll down the main street to discover unique boutique shops, Indigenous art galleries, and stores featuring locally handcrafted goods, clothing, and souvenirs. Don't forget to visit the Ucluelet Aquarium, a famous catch-and-release facility that offers an intimate, hands-on look at the fascinating marine life found right out in our harbor and tidal pools.

There is never a bad time to experience the Pacific Coral Retreat. Each season brings a completely distinct magic to the Ucluelet peninsula, and our suite is perfectly equipped to handle them all.

Spring (March – May): Witness the spectacular awakening of the coast. Spring marks the annual whale migration, where thousands of Gray whales pass by our shores. The rainforest is lush, vibrant, and bursting with new growth.

Summer (June – August): Enjoy long, sun-drenched days, warm beach weather, and calm seas. It is the perfect time for ocean kayaking, learning to surf at nearby Pacific Rim National Park, or sitting out on the coast watching eagles soar overhead.

Autumn (September – November): Experience the peaceful, golden shoulder season. The summer crowds thin out, the air turns crisp, and the ocean begins to show its autumn power. It is a fantastic time for quiet, reflective hikes and cozy nights by our fireplace.

Winter (December – February): Embrace the magic of storm-watching season. People travel from all over the world to witness massive, multi-story waves smash against the black volcanic rock of the Wild Pacific Trail. After getting windswept on the cliffs, there is no greater feeling than retreating to the warmth of the studio, turning on the fireplace, and listening to the rain fall on the forest canopy.

At the Pacific Coral Retreat, we pride ourselves on offering a clean, private, and exceptionally welcoming environment for our guests. We provide high-speed wireless internet for those who need to stay connected or work remotely, convenient on-site parking, and a seamless check-in process that respects your privacy. Escape the noise of daily life and immerse yourself in the natural rhythm of Canada’s wild West Coast. Let the sound of the ocean wind in the trees soothe you to sleep, and let the beauty of Ucluelet inspire your soul. We look forward to hosting you for an unforgettable stay at the Pacific Coral Retreat.
