Arriving at 10:30pm after 7 hours driving, we appreciated the rapid check-in, clean cozy room, hot shower, tea pot, and comfy bed. Breakfast was excellent as were the staff. Thank you!

Hotel Uman is a fantastic hotel. We stayed two separate nights on our way to and from Finland. Nice quiet rooms with all the amenities. Lower level garage is very convenient and safe. Hotel Uman is within walking distance of all Umeå museums, university, river walk, shopping and ferry to Vaasa Finland. The food is excellent (breakfast and dinner) and both are free! The staff is superior---very friendly and accommodating. Hotel Uman is the place to stay in Umeå.

We stayed for two weeks, visiting our daughter, her husband and our new grand baby. The Clarion is near the town square with lots of shops and weekend community activities. The river is just a block away, with nice walking/running paths. The hotel is clean, the staff are wonderfully helpful. The "gym" has two treadmills and an elliptical glider, but only 7 dumbbells with a top weight of 9 kilos. We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel everyday. Breakfast was consistent each morning, lots of variety to chose from. Dinner's main course was different every night, and always good.

Moist in the room - room in basement

Room in the basement. Booked a room at the Grand hotel - not the Grand Basement. Moist in the room. Small window under some steel stairs. Breakfast ok but at the Grand hotel You could expect fruits from fresh fruit not from cans. Sorry but can’t recommend this hotel.

Vi föredrar att bo på Uman när vi besöker Umeå. Mysig miljö, trevlig personal, bra rum. Trevligt med eftermiddagsfika m våfflor och middag. Alla måltider är goda. Bra med garage för bilen. Vi har inget att klaga på.

Mysigt hotell som ligger centralt men ändå är tyst och lugnt. Våfflorna man får göra till em-fikat smakade surt. Detta förklarades med att smeten gjordes på filmjölk. Smeten var oxå klumpig/grynig vilket förklarades med att det var havregryn i den. Kvällsmiddagen var däremot jättegod! Trevlig personal i repan!

Lugnt och fint, rymligt rum. Rent och fräscht; enda nackdelen var att matos - särskilt från eftermiddagsvåfflorna - spred sig en bra bit utanför restaurangen. Maten: frukostbuffén riklig och god, ett plus för grönsaker o frukt och smoothieshots samt gott rågbröd. Mycket vällagad, god, persiljedekorerad middag; kändes hemtrevligt. Och all personal var väldigt hjälpsamma, trevliga och vi fick bra tips om parkering i stan. Kommer gärna tillbaka!

Vi deltog i Syfestivalen och det var perfekt och säkert att använda hotellets rymliga garage natten innan vi lossade våra produkter. I priset ingår en en helt OK buffémiddag vilket passar bra efter långa arbetspass. Frukosten var också bra. Rummet var ett standardrum och rent och prydligt. I receptionen skaffade de snabbt fram ett redigt skohorn som fattades. De fixade också smidigt en ändring av vår bokning. Vi kommer att bo på hotellet vid fler tillfällen.

Mysigt hotel med underkänd kvällsbuffe´

Mysigt nästan familjärt hotel mitt i stan. Trevligt och hjälpsam personal i receptionen. Viss personal i restaurangen känns oengagerad, någon förstod knappt svenska. En gick runt med airpods och pratade i mobil samtidigt som hen arbetade bland gästerna. Den gratis kvällsbuffen som ingår i rumspriset var vid mitt besök en ren katastrof. Det serverades kall seg pommes frites med panerad fisk. Paneringen var blöt och seg, inuti en kall svampig grå/brun fiskfile. Efterföljande kväll serverades trist nog gratinerade makaroner med köttbullar och ketchup! Känns som all mat tillagas lång tid innan. Det bästa är frukost samt eftermiddagsfikat där kaffe och våfflor som man får grädda själv. Skohorn saknas på rummen.
