✨ Renovated farmhouse with a view of the Bodden—peace, style, and pure nature on Rügen
Welcome to your very own personal retreat on Rügen!
This lovingly renovated farmhouse, built in 1840, combines historic charm with modern architecture and sustainable construction. It sits on a natural property spanning approximately 2,500 m² with old fruit trees, adjacent fields, and a wonderful view of the Bodden—a place of tranquility, open spaces, and unspoiled nature. Enjoy breathtaking sunsets by the water here.
🏡 Historic charm meets modern living
The meticulous renovation was carried out with a special focus on quality and individuality.
Inside, you’ll find a bright, open floor plan with exposed beams and a loft featuring a reading nook.
The bathrooms are finished with natural Brazilian slate and equipped with Philippe Starck fixtures.
Sustainable materials characterise the entire house: Walls made of adobe bricks and mineral plaster, hemp insulation, hardwood parquet floors, and a historic brick floor in the kitchen create a pleasant, natural indoor environment.
A handcrafted cast-iron staircase with rustic hardware leads to the loft and the second bedroom, which offers access to the rooftop terrace—perfect for enjoying the sunset over the fields and the Bodden.
🌳 Natural Idyll & Open Space
The spacious garden invites you to relax. Under a 170-year-old elm tree, you can enjoy the rustling of the leaves or, depending on the season, pick cherries, plums, apples, pears, blackberries, and sea buckthorn berries.
Deer and their fawns regularly visit the garden. In spring and fall, large flocks of cranes and wild geese fly directly over the house—an impressive natural spectacle that you can watch from the terrace or the garden.
For your comfort, lounge chairs and a bike shelter are provided. Bicycles and boats can be rented in nearby Waase or in Gingst.
🌅 Location & Surroundings
The farmhouse is situated in a quiet and idyllic setting, with a direct view across the fields to the Bodden. In just a few minutes, you can reach charming villages, small harbours, and beautiful natural beaches.
Here, Rügen reveals its quiet, authentic side—perfect for nature lovers (located near the national park), those seeking relaxation, and anyone who appreciates something special.
