The Bayou Bungalow – Reelfoot Lake Vacation Rental

Located right on the water’s edge, The Bayou Bungalow is a cozy, family-style lodge designed for those who want the comforts of home with the charm of a private hideaway. Beautifully decorated with up-to-date style, the lodge features a spacious living area and is kept exceptionally clean—so inviting, you’ll want to return year after year.

Situated on the banks of Bayou De Chien, a natural bayou leading to the northeast side of the Upper Blue Basin, this smoke-free lodge now also offers fast, free wireless internet for your convenience.

Fully Equipped for Your Stay

No need to bring ice – the bungalow has an ice maker and a freezer stocked with bagged ice. Please reuse and refill the bags as needed.

After launching your boat at the nearby ramp, you can dock right at the bungalow and head straight out onto the lake.

You’ll have direct access to Reelfoot Lake where you can fish for crappie, bream, catfish, and largemouth bass—all just steps from your door. The lodge’s location next to a national wildlife refuge means you’ll enjoy frequent sightings of birds and other wildlife in their natural habitat.

Solitude at the Lake

The bungalow is clean. The yard is manicured. The host has all you need. NOW !!! You have a dock to sit on & watch the water. You can hear the frogs, see the fish feeding, watch the dragonflies & lightning bugs, see water plants, hear & watch the purple martins. Such a great outdoors experience. We thought we would sightsee but ended up just enjoying & appreciating nature. Thanks so much for sharing this with others.

Everything was just as described on the VRBO site. We could not have gotten anything any better anywhere. The location was nice and quiet in a good neighborhood. We will definitely stay there again. It was so nice to go into a clean comfortable home away from home. I am very much a grermaphobe so walking on someone else’s floors barefoot just isn’t me but I did and felt OK about it. Peaceful and quiet

The Bayou Bungalow is a great place to stay and very peaceful. It is everything as listed and much more. Bob and Carol are super hosts and very caring during our stay. The wildlife from herons, hawks, and owls. The yard is very nice along with neighborhood. We enjoyed our walks with our dog on B Johnson Rd and down Walnut Log Rd. Fishing was a little slow, but we had several catches. We had our grandboys one night and a family get together the following day. Everyone loved the Bayou Bungalow. Very clean and well stocked. We will definitely make this a yearly visit. Thank you, Bob and Carol!!
