"I last stayed here over ten years ago, when I stayed while attending a week-long residential course at Aston University. I was impressed then and was still impressed now. Friendly staff, comfy beds and one of the nicest hotel breakfasts going, all while being a short walk away from Birmingham city centre. Next time I am back in Birmingham, I know where I'll be staying again 🙂"
"Unfortunately, this property did not live up to the standards and the costs! I was given an accessible room despite me not booking one. They couldn’t change it for me because in the other room, AC was not working, all for me to find out that you can’t set a temperature below 19 degrees in this hotel! I am not sure what people are supposed to do in hotter weather! Breakfast was really standard for such a big chain. Will not be staying again!"
"The hotel is well positioned in the city centre. The rooms are spacious, modern and clean. Breakfast was lovely and staff attentive.
The only comment I would make is that my room was at the side by the garage on the street, and as I need my window open, it was noisy with the sounds of jet washing."
"The room was a little worn, air con didn’t work, the radiator made a noise through the night, the wooden strip going into the bathroom was lifted so stubbed toe a couple of times. Bathroom was very tight. Bed was comfy. The bar didn’t have the greatest choice, shuts early so not very good if travelling from afar like us, with late check in. Staff were nice, convent location. Would stop there again just not in room 244."
"Great location, hotel room was clean and comfortable, good view from the room, staff very friendly and helpful, great nights sleep. The only negative regarding the stay was the breakfast. Cafeteria type experience, food not the greatest quality and do avoid the scrambled egg at all costs, it was almost liquid while being grainy with no taste a very strange combination and not in a pleasant way. Trays all over the place, if we visit again we will avoid the breakfast and eat elsewhere. But overall the stay was good and excellent value for money."
