"I came to town to judge National History Day and was very happy with my stay here. The hotel was very beautiful. The front desk associates were so kind and helpful, and truly tried their hardest to get my handicapped mother a room close to the lobby. Our room was very spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. The shower was perfectly hot and the brand of lotions and shampoos were incredible. I only wish there was a microwave in the room, but thankfully we didn’t need it. Everyone was so wonderful and there was ample parking for all the guests. It was a great stay and we will be back next June!"

"Great staff! Nice ladies at the desk and a very polite manager. The room was okay, the shower doesn't have cold water, which sucks for Platinum blondes who wash with cold water but at least you have the sink! My microwave was very filthy and didn't work properly and the floors need better cleaning, but great room for the price!"

"Very clean hotel with convenient parking underneath which was around $60 per night and competitive with surrounding garages. A little dated but again, very clean. Conveniently located, pool area was very nice"

"On my first trip to Washington, DC, almost 70 years ago, I stayed with my family at the Shoreham. This was my first time staying there since then, though I had attended several conferences there during the 45 years I lived in the DC area. I'm so glad I chose the Shoreham. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. My room was spacious, lovely, and clean, with good lighting, lots of outlets, very nice, comfortable furniture, and terrific bathroom amenities. The water pressure in the shower was probably the best I've ever experienced in a hotel. The housekeeping staff did a great job. All this for a very reasonable price. And, though I really dislike "resort fees," this one actually included a credit at the bar that was enough to get me a light dinner one night. The Shoreham was a great hotel 70 years ago. It still is. And it is in a very convenient location, a block from a Metro station and just a block or two from a number of shops and restaurants. I recommend it highly."
