It was wonderful! The coffee was excellent, with lovely public spaces to sit and enjoy it. Just 2 notes, for such a nice hotel (Tapestry Collection), we think you should offer premium toilet paper and larger tissue boxes more in keeping with the quality of the hotel. Also, I would offer a selection of pillows, some firm, some feathers, and include a light blanket for every bed. The duvets are very heavy.

Excellent hotel with pretty cool and understated hidden historical pieces. Very easy access to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (leave the parking lot by driving straight across a road, drive 3 minutes, and you’re there). Breakfast at the hotel was unappealing but there is a great breakfast spot — Lazy Daisy — around the corner (truly a 2-3 minute walk around a corner). Elevator on our portion of the building (by the pool) was slow and not a fit with the rest of the hotel (2 beautiful elevators on the other side of the hotel.) it’s an upscale hotel but when we stayed there the price was more affordable than other hotels.

The good: Nice, clean rooms, great fitness room, a decent restaurant for lunch and dinner, free parking outside, close to the university. Didn't like: while the restaurant is open for breakfast, it is understaffed. Even though it will look empty, there will be a wait. The server was pretty rushed and, therefore, not very attentive. If you're planning to have breakfast and be somewhere, you may want to rethink where you eat. There are other places nearby outside the hotel too, but it is a net inconvenience. Second time staying this month at a Hilton property with shorthanded breakfast crew.
