Escape from the city come to this villa ideal for relaxation close to nature, Jacuzzi. Two fireplaces. Internet access and WI FI . Illinois and Vermillion river only minutes away. The perfect place for your getaway and unforgettable experience ! Only minutes walking from hiking trails .
Villa is located inside Grand Bear Resort complex. However, WE ARE PRIVATELY OWNED. WE DON'T HAVE A CONECTION OF ANY KIND WITH GRAND BEAR LODGE AND OR GRIZZLY JACK'S RESORT. WATER PARK PASSES ARE NOT INCLUDED. NEED TO CONTACT GRAND BEAR RESORT DIRECTLY FOR PRICING AND AVAILABILITY.!
Rustic log style furnishings. The generous 1,800 square foot Villa sleeps 8 with 2 bedrooms, 2 bath, comforting fireplaces, televisions, a patio, 2 balconies, washer/dryer, kitchen & dining area.


The kitchen is complete with all major appliances dishwasher, microwave, coffee pot, single cup coffee maker, toaster, dinnerware, eating utensils and basic cookware. To maximize your rental experience please consider bringing any special items you may need. There is a 24 hr convince store located inside the resort lobby, should you forget something.


-The Master bedroom features a king-size bed, pull out twin sofa sleeper, fireplace, TV, private vanity and whirl pool tub.
-The Second bedroom features 2 queen size beds, TV and balcony.
-Folding bed available first floor.
-Free WIFI access
-Special rates when booking 7 nights or more.

House keeping services are not provided for stays shorter then 7 nights. Guests are encouraged to take advantage of the full size washer and dryer to launder the existing towels and linens for a fresh supply.

*Villa toiletries (paper towels, toilet paper) will be provided but are based on the amount of people/duration of your stay.
Should you feel more is needed while on your stay please feel free to visit the General Store located inside GrandBear Resort.

*This Vacation Villa is privately owned and the use of some resort amenities (i.e. WATER PARK, mini golf) IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THE RENTAL. Tickets must be purchased separately. And you have to call Grand Bear Lodge in advance to check for availability.

This was a great place to stay while we visited Starved Rock and Matthiessen state parks. The villa was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Great location for visiting parks and especially North Utica. Villa was clean and very comfortable. Plenty of kitchenware for the meals we prepared there. Good directions for using the jacuzzi tub. A little wear on the carpet by the master bedroom door but clean and well maintained. Easy to walk up to the lodge if you wanted to try their restaurants.

We stayed here because we have a wedding to attend at Starved Rock Lodge. The proximity to the lodge and hiking paths was great. The property is an end unit on a quiet street, and there was plenty of space to walk our dog and beautiful views. The beds aren’t the most comfortable, and the carpeting was worn and dated, but the unit is clean and spacious, and had everything we needed for our weekend stay.

Overall we truly enjoyed our stay and would’ve enjoyed staying longer. Loved the condo and Martin was super accessible and easy to work with. If I was going to change anything, it would be for some coffee so that we could make a cup of joe in the morning. I guess that’s my only ask. Super place and area. Would stay and hope to stay again.

We had a nice stay in Starved Rock. The condo was nice and large, but the kitchen was lacking some basic utensils, which we actually bought and left there. I did appreciate the extra fan in the master bedroom. We had no trouble getting into the condo and there was only 1 other unit being used during the week. On the weekend, it became more crowded, but not bad at all. We did see wildlife around the condo, too. All in all, we will stay there again if we ever make it back to Starved Rock.

Great place for our family! Very cute place, quite spacious. The unit is at the end of the parking lot and backs up to a lovely brushy area and then a pond. Birds, rabbits and other wildlife were abundant. Otherwise it was fairly quiet.
