Short Break

Lovely hosts. The property living space is small, but a large bedroom. No garden area with the gite just the owners garden so no sun loungers. Nice place to sit immediately outside the gite though.

La Belle vie

We were expecting difficulty in finding this property, deep in the Dordogne, but Google maps came up trumps. The time taken to reach it after the main roads ran out was, however, a small problem. The property was lovely, spacious and in a beautiful garden space with wide views of the countyside. Our hosts were very kind and helpful. Fully outfitted kitchen, some kit was missing - no kettle - but I imagine the very hard water makes that problematic. We used a lovely barbeque, provided by our host most days. A very good supermarket 20 minutes away in the car, and basic facilities in the village.

Un coin paisible

Petit coin paisible dans un petit village de Dordogne. Un appartement qui apporte le confort pour des vacances au calme. Une situation géographique centrale par rapport aux sites à visiter. L’accueil est chaleureux de la part d’Isa et Polo et savent vous conseiller si besoin.

Ländliche Idylle

Herzlich möchten wir uns noch einmal für die Gastfreundschaft unserer Gastgeber bedanken, dank derer wir uns so wohl an diesem idyllischen Ort gefühlt haben. St. Alvere ist ein hübsches kleines Dorf, in dem man alles für den täglichen Bedarf (Bäckerei, kleine Epicerie, 1xwöchentlich Markt, 2 sehr gute Restaurants, 1 Cafe, 1 Bar) fußläufig von der sehr ruhig gelegenen Unterkunft erreichen kann. Ebenso sind die vielfältigen Sehenswürdigkeiten und Ausflugsziele an der Dordogne und der Vezere gut mit dem Auto erreichbar. Den Abend kann man dann wunderbar mit einem Glas Wein und Blick auf den schönene Garten ausklingen lassen.
