"Location is perfect - ski in ski out, steps to everything in the village. Our room was a littel small but then again, we booked the cheapest room in the hotel. I'm sure there are upgrades available for a little more $$. Great terrace/restaurant overlooking the mountain. Room for improvement on the bathroom size and tv with screen mirrorinng option would be nice if you don't speak french well enough to follow French tv. BUT we didnt spend much time in our room so it wasn't big deal. Would stay there again."

"Apartment was perfect for us as a family of 5 with 2 children in the bunk beds, one on the sofa bed and us in the double room. Lots of storage space available, well equipped kitchen and very clean and tidy on arrival. Ski lockers for boots and skis were big enough for the whole family, a bit dated but that didn't bother us at all. The position of the apartment on the slopes for ski in-ski out was a huge positive for us, along with the balcony which looked out onto the pistes. It is a lovely, bright and sunny apartment - would thoroughly recommend. "

"Very nice stay! Location was excellent, the space was clean, and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the ski locker and being so close to ski in and out. The balcony was a nice touch we weren’t expecting - there is a balcony off one of the bedrooms. The bedrooms are very very small, but that was to be expected. I do not think more than 4 people could fit as we couldn’t fit our luggage in our own rooms and had to use the bunk room for luggage. Overall very excellent!"

"We had a really enjoyable week in this apartment, and the location was excellent.The apartment is very close to the sports centre, spa, and Carrefour/Spar supermarkets. It’s also only around a 100m walk to access the piste via the rear door, and when conditions are good, it’s possible to ski back to the door.The apartment itself is a good size. There were four adult men in our group, with one in each room and one on the sofa bed, and it never felt cramped. All beds apart from the sofa bed were very comfortable. We used a mattress topper stored in the base of the double bed to make the sofa bed more comfortable.The apartment is basic but has everything needed for a week’s stay. The oven is very small and positioned on a high shelf, which makes it awkward to use, but we were still glad to have it. Overall, the apartment is showing its age and would benefit from a general update and refresh. We also noticed slow-draining sinks/showers, loose toilet seats, and a coffee machine that wasn’t working.Access is arranged by calling Ludo around 30 minutes before arrival. He is based in Sports 2000 in the sports centre. We struggled to get through on his mobile, so had to collect the keys and bedding from the shop instead. It wasn’t a major issue as it’s nearby, but it would have been helpful if this was clearly explained in the host’s guide.Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider booking again if we return to Val Thorens."
