"What a great property, I was a bit worried at first due to it being older, but I would definitely stay here next time we come back. It was a very clean property and the beds were very comfortable."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Keystone Hotel in Valdez. Honestly, I don’t understand why this property has such a low rating. People booking this hotel should keep its price range in mind. For the price, it’s very hard to find anything comparable in Valdez, especially a place that also offers free parking and a complimentary breakfast that is more than enough to start your day. Yes, the hotel is not brand new, and you can tell that the building has been around for a while. However, what matters most to me is cleanliness. A hotel can be modern and luxurious, but if it isn’t cleaned properly, it becomes uncomfortable to stay there. Keystone may not be the newest hotel in town, but it is clean, and that makes a huge difference. The mattress was comfortable, the bed linens were clean, the bathroom was spotless, and the shower was pleasant to use. We never had any issues with hot water. The staff were also friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. In terms of value for money, I honestly think this hotel has very few competitors in Valdez. If you’re expecting a luxury resort, this may not be the place for you. But if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, affordable place to get a good night’s sleep, enjoy a decent breakfast, and spend your days exploring Alaska, Keystone Hotel is an excellent choice."

"Nice location and my room had a great view of water. Short walk from train and to cruise ship (a little challenging rolling luggage over gravel/uneven area). Room had a comfortable bed! Bare bones ... no hairdryer, no phone or local information. No breakfast on property on weekends but a great place close by. I tried to contact inn prior to arrival (no reply to email, text or phone) so only had website pic of how to find inn etc. Restaurant on 1st floor was nice after train ride."
