"We had a wonderful experience at Maison Pic. The staff were incredibly professional and helpful without being intrusive. They also helped us identify restaurant choices in Lyon for our trip back. The room was lovely with a nice view over the interior garden. Unfortunately the weather was rainy and we did not get to enjoy the gorgeous garden as much as we wanted but it was fun seeing the chefs picking herbs in the morning! Of course the high light is the restaurant and it did not disappoint!! More than just a meal; it was an opportunity to take a break from the cacophony of the world and open all your senses to new possibilities. From the initial hand scent which actually worked as it evokes being in a quiet pine forest to the journey through the 10 course meal, it was truly an unforgettable experience. The waitstaff were professional and great fun as it was almost like watching a show and the sommelier deserved a special nod. Approachable and fun to learn from. All in all a fabulous evening and we certainly will come again when we are in this lovely and under appreciated area of France in the future."
