"A very nice older style hotel in the heart of Nelson. Great location for amenities. Nice shops everywhere. There is not on site parking- but a city parkade next door. Street parking is free from 5 pm to 9 am and it was available. There is a loading area parking at the hotel side door which was handy. The pub food was very tasty with a good menu."

"The Blaylock Mansion is a one-of-a-kind experience. We rented the Presidential Suite for two nights. Two nights to give me a full day to feel like I’m living there. The Presidential Suite is a six hundred square foot room that feels more like an apartment. I felt like the Lord of the Manor. A memory that will last for a long time. The Mansion is fantastic, and owners Brett and Jennifer let you freely roam the Mansion as if it is your own. There are some restricted areas but very few. Built during the depression, the craftsmen in the area went all out in detail and quality. The windows are a big part of the look and feel of the Mansion, hardware used is functional and beautiful. The windows were designed and built to last a hundred years plus. The whole Mansion is solid and feels like it will stand forever. The grounds are equally impressive and maintained with a love of gardening. The lap pool was refreshing. Took an early morning dip just because I didn’t want to leave without getting in once. Thank you, Brett and Jennifer, for a wonderful experience, that truly exceeded my expectations. Jim Baker"
