"We recently stayed at the Meritage to celebrate several special occasions. Before arrival, I reached out with a few simple requests, including staying closer to the kid pool and arranging dinner reservations, but unfortunately the communication and follow-through felt almost nonexistent. The room itself was good, and overall the hotel property is nice enough. But hospitality is more than just a room. What stood out most was the lack of attention, acknowledgment, or any sense that anyone genuinely cared about making the stay feel special especially after clearly communicating why the trip mattered to our family. No one is expecting red carpet treatment, but even basic correspondence or a simple acknowledgment would have gone a long way. Instead, the experience felt very transactional and indifferent. Honestly, the most disappointing part is feeling like this review probably won’t matter to them either."

"Long wait times, rude impatient staff, outdated rooms, stayed for 2 nights and housekeeping never came in to clean room. Had to ask 4 times for towles and sheets. Room didn't have a remote. Bathroom dirty. No toilet tissue. I spoke to the manager and he stated he is going to try and process a refund. Please follow up on my refund and call me back"

"Clean, well-maintained property in a very good location. Close to 29 north and south to visit the Napa valley. Staff was friendly and efficient and room was clean and comfortable. They are adding an outdoor patio/lounge area near pool."

"Over priced conference hotel lacking serious staff capacity. The “restaurant” had one server and it took us almost two hours to get our dinner. Food was cold when we got it. Only one bartender for a sold out hotel that couldn’t keep up with happy hour or dinner rush. The outside seating area was completely covered in bird poop and not useable. "

"I have stayed at this hotel several times due to proximity to the university. You will never know what kind of room you will get at this hotel. Some stays have been decent with comfortable beds and varying sizes of the bathrooms. Our last stay was horrible. The best was terrible with springs actually jabbing my rib. I was sore for 2 days post. They had a portable AC in there which was a big surprise and the water leaked from the bathroom sink. I will avoid this place going forward. "
