Moonrise Cottage at Buena Terra Lavender Farm

Come get away from the hustle and bustle, connect with nature, breathe fresh air and relax. Buena Terra Lavender Farm is a short drive from many Southern California locations, but you'll feel like you're a world away.
The space
The Moonrise Guest Cottage is two stories and almost 1,000 square feet. It is located on the far east end of the farm and is separate from the main residence with its own driveway and private deck, complete with an outdoor soaking tub, dining table, chaise lounge and sitting area. The cottage has a queen sized sofa bed downstairs and a queen bed and sofa that will convert to a full size bed upstairs. There is a kitchenette with a large toaster oven (large enough to accommodate a frozen pizza or a sheet of cookies), a microwave, coffee pot (will brew either a Keurig or full pot), two burner induction cooktop and a refrigerator. There is a private, outdoor shower with a rain head shower. Not far from the cottage deck is a daybed swing, perfect for an afternoon nap. The pool area is available for guests' use from 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM. There is a park area just beyond the pool with a nice sunset view. Guests are welcome to stroll on the paths of the farm and walk the labyrinth.

There is no WiFi, allowing for the ultimate in relaxation; disconnect from technology and reconnect with yourself, nature or your loved one.

If you are celebrating something special we would be happy to help you coordinate special touches like notes on our welcome sign, silk rose petals and/or fresh flowers (if available), please just let us know.

Our farm is also available for small gatherings, please reach out for additional information.

Escape the Chaos

Moonrise Cottage is a perfect place to escape every day stress and chaos. The remote location is very quiet and worth the effort. Cottage itself has a an eclectic decorating style. It’s got everything you need. Heidi is a wonderful host. I had lots of questions about directions etc. to get there and she was very prompt in answering and very clear on how to get there. My wife and I plan to return to this oasis.

A gorgeous getaway in the San Diego mountains!

My husband, three-year-old son, and I all stayed at the Moonrise Cottage for one night. It was a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of San Diego. The cottage itself was so idyllic and the surrounding property provided a lot of entertainment for my little one. I got a chance to enjoy the outdoor bath that overlooks the canyon, which was a magical experience. Heidi the property owner made us feel very welcome, providing us with information on local restaurants and allowing us to check in early. Overall this was a wonderful experience and I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get away. Next time I might leave the kid at home because the cottage is very romantic!

Family Trip

My husband and 2 boys (5 and 3 years old) wanted to celebrate a birthday and Thanksgiving differently this year. We found this place and the pictures do not do justice for the charm and beauty. It is just so peaceful and gorgeous out there. The trip didn’t go as planned and we had a scare on night 1. Heidi and Tim treated us like family and took such care of me and my kids. I’ll spare the details but just know the hosts are as good as they get and this place is so memorable and we can’t wait to go back. You won’t regret booking this home. Just outstanding all around.
