"This was a great last minute booking. The staff was helpful at check-in. The hallway carpets were a little dingy but the rooms were very clean. The beds were comfortable and had plenty of pillows. I was also very grateful they had an airport shuttle. This saved us from ordering an uber at dawn. I would definitely stay here again if I’m in the area."

"For those looking to be in the center of the Old Port district, the Regency couldn't be better situated. Portland is a walkable city, and the hotel is in an ideal spot. My (standard) room wasn't spacious, but it was clean and attractive. I would recommend to the management that they find a chair that's comfortable for reading, TV, relaxing - mine was unusually uncomfortable. There should also be a small table/desk for one's things, laptop, etc. The hotel's breakfast was superb - a handsome room, wonderful food, and very good service. I only had breakfast "out" one day out of four! Other staff varied in their helpfulness - I didn't get many recommendations from the front desk for guided tours or good restaurants, but they were amiable and efficient. Overall a good experience, but the room could use some more comfortable touches."

"My biggest complaint is that our room wasn’t super clean when we arrived. There were a few empty cosmetic bottles on the floor but everything else was fine. I also found the bed to be too firm. Positively, the hotel is in a convenient location! Less than a 10 minute walk from Holy Donut and less than 20 from Tandem. They kept snacks stocked in the lobby and there was always an attendant in the lobby."
