It's what you expect for price. Good bed avg size room. Clean. Tv was small and dark. Lot of deferred maintenance but didn't effect our stay. Breakfast was good.

Owners take good care of hotel.
There were pros and cons to this hotel. The pros were that it was a well cared for hotel which can be tough to find these days. The people at the front desk, both check-in and check-out were nice. So was the woman running the breakfast bar. There were nice options for breakfast. Cons were that the hotel is in need of the update it is getting and that made the room seem overpriced. The pillows were uncomfortable.

Not sure if this is typical for Holiday Inn Express, but this hotel was amazing!! We got a better room for a more reasonable price than we would have elsewhere, and their breakfast is huge and varied.

Disappointing
Queen Beds are so fluffy and small, hard to sleep. TV is not in good condition. When turning heater, bad smell came from vent, and not maintained properly.

Fun stay at Holiday Inn Express
Me and my girlfriend went to stay at this hotel for an evening together and the staff was really kind and the place was really well taken care of. They’re also adding new things with construction so that’s cool ! Breakfast was very good. For sure the best hotel food I’ve ever had !

Property was under construction so there were workers right outside our window. Our reservation for additional night we made over the phone was nowhere to be found so one night we had to all sleep in a king bed as we were told that nothing else was available. We also had to move next day from the room with king bed to another room with double queen-as originally booked. Breakfast was good and lady working for the hotel in the breakfast room was very nice.

We had a late check in. the receptionist was spot on with what locations were open for food. Loved how the essentials were already in the bathroom. The breakfast was warm and ready as usual the next morning and the staff was amazing. I’m so glad we chose this location. Everything was clean and well presented.

The property is currently being renovated. 08-16-23. They are replacing the exterior of the building, large sections of black stuff all over the outside. Got a call late in the evening saying that they would be replacing the window in my room the next day. No time given, luckily I was only staying overbite one day and we were gone by 9:00am when they began. I would not stay here for several months!

Holiday Inn Express Valpo
The hotel was under construction when we arrived, which no one warned us about. Our reservation was incomplete and we had to add a $uite on the spot because of no room availability. Construction noise, dirty, run down rooms and incompetent staff with uncaring manager.

We picked this hotel based on its location to our baseball tournaments. We always pick hotels with complementary breakfast for ease of serving breakfast to our family on the go. Unfortunately, the breakfast staff appeared to have not shown up this morning. There was no hot food, coffee ran out, and no staff to help with the morning meal. I tried to ask the front desk staff for more coffee, but they were not around.

room was spotless. it was set up well for a wheelchair bound person. all staff were excellent. i enjoyed the breakfast as they had skim milk, egg white scramble and many items for people who can't eat pancakes and biscuits and gravy. didn't like being on second floor because i can't do stairs in the event of evacuation. but i know now to insist on first floor.

Booked a stay for 5 adults for a family reunion. Hotel was in a convenient location and overall the hotel was clean and comfortable. The sofa bed was broke however we didn't end up needing to use it as we thought we needed too so it wasn't an issue.

Some deep cleaning needed
Very comfortable beds. Bathroom was impeccably clean. The only negative comment I could make is that the carpet in the room had numerous spots and stains on it and the curtains were stained and need to be cleaned. Otherwise I was satisfied with my stay.

From the moment we came in the lobby we were greeted warmly and felt very comfortable, Service staff passed in hallways were friendly with smiles. Room was clean and properly stocked with towels and coffee station fixings. Breakfast was abundant and the staff very helpful. It was a very pleasant stay for me and my Twenty year old daughter and her friend.
