This was the worst hotel I have seen in quite sometime. It was dirty, noisy, and I felt unsafe in this location. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone.

No one was at the desk for check in. You drop your keys off in an unlocked cubby that anyone could walk in the front and grab a set of keys and help themselves to a room. Bed and pillow were horrible. The room and bed were filthy. The whole facilty needs to be condemned. Buyer beware. Pay the extra money and stay somewhere else.

In a good location, unfortunately this place is a very tired hotel needing a serious renovation. The carpets were quite dirty, the room smelled like cigarettes.

This is an old property with new owners. It must be difficult getting into the business with old "bones". I wish them well. Tweeking could include an elevator, re-set the rooms to more modern standards (can't offer a whole lot of suggestions in this small space), bathroom updates (a paint job isn't enough). Must add that the "staff" of one made a great welcome and he was very helpful. Quite casual.

The host was friendly and was prompt in contacting repair services when needed. Once signed in there was no staff at the front desk. You reach the host by telephoning the hotel. The rooms are on the 2nd floor which are accessed by stairs only. This may be an issue for someone with mobility issues. This is an older hotel in need of some renovation but we found it clean and the beds comfortable. There are trains which need to whistle at a nearby intersection so packing earplugs may be a good idea.

An experience….

Front office and cleaning staff were friendly. Room was tidy but not great. Bathroom sink and bathtub were painted so had bits of white paint peeling off everything. Toilet tank was cracked and poorly patched. A few “rowdy” neighbours with some extracurricular activities going on… if I had a choice I would stay elsewhere next time.

I paid $116 to stay here and it was not worth it. While the staff member I dealt with was professional and apologetic, this was not a great experience. It was unnerving that there is no staff on site overnight, and they didn’t tell me that if I needed something I’d have to call the general number. My bathtub and shower surround had cracked and peeling paint, the shower curtain was stained and had boogers and other things on it, so I did not use it. The freezer had a spill frozen into it, and the fridge is filled with condensation. There are no instructions for the TV, which in my room was just for show, because the live TV channels didn’t work, and while they offer access to Amazon Prime, you can only use it if others aren’t using it (10 user limit at once). The TV has Netflix but I couldn’t access it even if I wanted to use my own login. One of the “sanitary” plastic wrapped cups left in my room was full of holes in the wrapper and was left in the bathroom.

The person working the front desk was super nice, and tried his best with what he had. When first checking in, the lobby is dim with no actual front desk, he comes out of an office with a laptop and meets you at what should be a front desk. The first room we got had a clogged sink, which the staff didn’t know how to fix (I had to help). They switched our room to another. Both rooms had stains all over the carpet and you could feel the subfloor lifting under the carpet with every step you took. Beds were extremely uncomfortable, and neither room they put us in had towels or cloths of any sort so I had to request them. What made this experience the worst was the noise. Between hearing the train like it was in the room with you, to the stomping of other people in the building like elephants, to the street racing and burnouts from people on the street because the inn is conveniently on a straight stretch. But…. The finally straw where I got so angry was the 2 am screaming match which I can only assume was a marital dispute. The man who was in the next room to me was yelling (not in English) at a woman who was on speakerphone and not even there, yet I could hear her clear as day. Despite me hitting the wall to get my point across to be quiet this continued on for over an hour. The walls are paper thin and for 2 terrible nights I didn’t sleep. I will never stay here again.
