"Everything was great. However there is no TV so be prepared to spend that day outside or bring board games. Not much to do at night. We were gone during the day everyday but would have been nice to watch at night. Also if you plan on cooking they have everything but seasoning youll want to bring that with you. Id suggest brining food as closest HEB or groc store is 1hr 15min away. They have a nice waterhole to check out outdoor games for kids. We went end of June and was hot but had nice breeze...

"Mostly everything works. Very good for nature lovers looking for some hiking and camping. The place is so peaceful, away to civilization but all good. Internet is kinda poor, not a good place if you're going to bring your work with you in here. The swimming pool is good with the very nice view and if the weather permits. Yes you can cook, kitchen is accessible just bring all what you need 'coz the nearest store is 15mins away outside the resort. Staffs are approachable and friendly. We'll definitely come back for peaceful short vacation."

"I do not often give outstanding reviews of anything but La Hacienda deserves it. I first stayed at this property 10 years ago when it was under different management. Steve, the new manager, is a wonderful human and gave great service and knowledge of the local area. You know how you can't ever capture the majesty of mountains in a photograph? It's the same here; the pictures promise a delightful stay, but when you are there, it's so much nicer and peaceful than the pictures convey.The river is swimming depth year-round, and my friends and I had fun on the rope swing and hanging out at different areas on the grounds all with some great natural beauty. This house and its grounds are large enough that, I suspect, even if there were 20 people here, one could find a comfortable moment of aloneness in nature. clean hot tub kitchen is very well stocked strong wifi (but I recommend putting screens down while here!) fish, deer, rabbits, and more wildlife galore cool, shaded riverThe only minus I can think is that the porch railing all along the backside is in need of repair. If you lean on it, the entire railing bends; we thought it would break when 2 people leaned on it at the same time. I am confident that Steve is the kind of person who would take this seriously, and if he deems it unsafe, he will take care of it.Overall, this is a rare and true gem among Hill Country properties; take it from this native Texan and Hill Country enthusiast. Stunning 6 Bedroom vacation home with pool & hot tub 5 minutes from Frio River!

"Great place for a large family gathering! One of the biggest advantages was the ample parking, which is often a challenge with large groups.Everything worked very well for our family. We especially loved the industrial coffee maker and the coffee bar. There was plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, making it easy for everyone to gather comfortably.A few small suggestions for improvement: it would be helpful to provide guests with at least two rolls of paper towels to start their stay, as there were none available when we arrived. I always bring extras, so it wasn't a problem, but others may not. We also didn't find towels in the bathrooms and had to get them from the laundry room, including hand towels.It may also be helpful to leave a note indicating where the pool towels are located. We ended up using bath towels until we discovered the beach towels in the coffee bar cabinet on the second day. Additionally, there were only two kitchen towels available, so having a few more would be appreciated.Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely book this property again."

"Awful access to little water. The walk to the water was terrible for the littles and my dad. Not safe terrain. Great experience at Garner State Park and we loved the lodging but we will not be coming back."
