We had a wonderful stay at the Brij Rama Palace, the staff were friendly, accommodating and always welcoming. This rustic boutique hotel lends to the history of Banaras and it is an experience to be right on the Ghats and take part in all of the prayers. A big shoutout to Kushi for looking into all our requests. Highly recommend this place for the hospitality and the location.

We booked two rooms in January of 2026. This hotel is an unbelievably beautiful property. We truly felt that we traveled back in time and felt like royalties. The ambiance, amenities, staff, service, food..just WOW !!! Will highly highly recommend this place to anyone who travels to Varanasi. It is right on Ganga ji and they have complementary ferries to any ghat you wish to visit..

Best Location in Varanasi Beautiful palace full of history, with easy access to explore and be fully immersed in life and local cultural activities. Great Spa services In particular we would like to give a special mention to Ashutosh on front desk,Fahad in the restaurant who made an extra effort to converse with us in Spanish and his colleagues Sandeep & Sourav. Plus the skilled hands of the Spa team who soothed our aching backs and tired feet.

Very expensive. Elegant hotel. Room and bathrooms are very good. Food in Udyan and Dharbhanga is quite good. Access is only by boat. Lots of luggage will be a problem. All boats and boat drivers are not equal. Plan departures accounting for the boats and the traffic. Staff are eager and polite but they need more hospitality coaching.

It’s an AMAZING palace located in the best part of Varanasi, a 5 minute walks to the ceremony sight and right on the ghat. We only planed 1 day stay but wish we had stayed longer. The staff made us feel like family and helped us make it to everything!! Ravi and the chef were super nice and accommodated our preferences making our dinner and breakfast unforgettable!!

If you want to experience Varanasi then Brijrama Hotel is a great place to call your home base! It is perfectly located in a beautiful former palace right on the river. They will provide a boat to take you up and down the river to watch and participate in one of the greatest spiritual traditions on earth!

This hotel is located overlooking the Ganges River, but quiet and peaceful. After walking along the Ganges River, the staff and the place bring a sense of relief. The hotel also hosts several cultural events where you can experience the wonderful Indian culture bit by bit, allowing guests to participate in those events while staying at the hotel.
