"Nous avons passé 10 jours très agréables dans cette maison. Elle est très confortable et parfaitement équipée. Tous les équipements mis à disposition (notamment la climatisation) fonctionnent parfaitement. Le site de Dornes est tout à fait exceptionnel et idéalement placé au coeur du Portugal. "The house is directly in the nature. It is in a valley, so you should have some driving skills, since the driveway is pretty steep. Around the house you will find your "garden". It is really big, so you will need about half an hour to walk around everything. There even is a little creek, so you can cool your feet. At the property there live a small cute and cosy cat, sheep and 2 big dogs (they are very nice and happy to have visitors). It is calming to have the dogs around, since in the night...

The pool is a community pool, but the hotel has a section of reserved chairs for hotel guests. eBikes were included in the reservation so we biked for ~30 minutes to go down by the river and make it easier to get back up to the hotel. The hosts are outstanding, I’ve never met such amazing hosts. They bought us bags of the most fabulous and delicious tomatoes and the fluffiest cake ever. Thank you for a beautiful break we will always remember. "

"Absolutely fantastic villa for peace and quite and set in its own mini valley.Just one property nearby and that is the wonderful owners who are so helpful and nice but respect your privacy too.The villa has a lovely outdoor area to eat and drink overlooking the woods and large gardens that are kept so nicely.The pool is very clean and well maintained.We found everything we needed in the villa with some nice extras provided by the host.The nearest supermarket is just 5 mins away by car or 20 walking."

"The rooms are in a modern build anex and are comfortable, clean and very pleasant. My room and many rooms have a small balcony, air conditioning and great space. We were able to park our motorbikes right next to reception, it felt safe. Breakfast was good and there is a nice restaurant within walking distance by the river ( I think it’s owned by the same people). Staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a quiet town but has a good supermarket. Overall this was a very nice stopover and I’d gladly stay here again. "
