"Second time we have stayed here.
The location is excellent. The outside space and grounds are beautiful
The staff we met were lovely, very pleasant.
The breakfast room is huge and we enjoyed the breakfast too
Negatives: it’s extremely dated and in some places it is actually shabby.
The bed(s) were singles pulled together, not fastened, so they separated if you turned over during the night. The beds also had very ill fitting toppers on them which also moved. So much so that my wife fell...

"The hotel was next to a busy road but the room was very well isolated. For a business trip is the location is perfect because it is close to highway A35. Staff was friendly and do their best. The reservation was for a junior suite and although the room is spacious the 'junior suite' designation is slightly 'misguiding'. "This is a very upmarket hotel set in beautiful grounds and the whole establishment has been given much attention to detail. The result is the perfect venue for a holiday or a business meeting. However, there were a couple of issues on the last day of the three that had been booked. On our return from a day out we found our room key was disabled and the room itself incompletely serviced. This was quickly resolved but took the shine off an otherwise perfect experience. Also the 'day' menu in the restaurant never varied throughout the week which limited choices."
