A very nice apartment with a view to a lake and the old castle. It is placed in the middle of Kolding. Nevertheless it is quiet and includes a safe parking place for the car. There is a super service and we were met by a friendly and helpful staff. We will come back!

we stayed in 3 bedroom apartment. it was quiet and peaceful. the room was next to car park and on ground floor but we were not disturbed. apartment has plenty of blinds and ways to ventilate. we shopped at local supermarket to keep meal cost down. visited koldinghos and Legoland. also had a shopping day in town.

Expected more

Positives: Location - Next to Kolding Hus and within walking distance to town. The staff was very friendly and our kids received a bag with free items which they loved. Comfy beds Well stocked kitchen Negatives: Living room/kitchen area is extremely exposed due to the various floor to ceiling windows right by the very frequented walkways. What really bothered us is that none of the windows can be opened. The only way to let air in is by opening the doors to the outside. However, at night or while you’re out, there is no way to let fresh air in unless you want to leave the doors open which means that anyone can just walk in. The small bedrooms got stuffy and warm very quickly and we were there during cooler temperatures. I don’t want to imagine how it is during the summer. There is no AC. Cleanliness - When we arrived, the food garbage hadn’t been emptied, neither had the dishwasher. Pot had leftovers stuck to it, veggie drawer of fridge wasn’t clean. At least one of the bedrooms hadn’t been vacuumed properly. We found an empty plastic bottle and candy wrappers under to the bed. Overall condition - The exhaust in the kitchen was broken, sofa has seen better days, stains in the shower. Place needs some maintenance and a solution for the ventilation issue.

The apartments are fine for a short family stay, nothing special, ours was a bit tired, but perfectly functional. We were on the street side which was very noisy, had no view and didn’t have any privacy - so just be aware of that if you are booking (the room came with ear plugs so it is obviously an issue that the business knows about). It was nice having basic cleaning materials (such as washing up liquid) provided as standard. The pool is not attached to the apartments, it is a short walk away and must be paid as an extra. I feel like this is slightly hidden in the details, we also did not come across the playpark that is photographed - perhaps that is also offsite.
