"Reasonably priced and clean room, with plenty of space (room 3). We even had a hint of a sea view. Bath fixtures could use maintenance; an adjustable height shower would be a great improvement. Bed was comfortable. It’s not a modern building so has plenty of charm but expect noise to carry - we could hear the morning deliveries, refuse collection, and the evening music. Catering is OK but nothing special. Located right near the ferry and other pubs in Yarmouth. Overall great value for money."

"Good Convenient Hotel in Ryde, though slightly dated, all the amenities were present. The restaurant was good, we ate there twice. Some minor issues with windows and bed make up, but the staff were helpful in getting it all fixed. Was also given a free breakfast upgrade, which was appreciated. "

"My friend and I were on a tour of the Isle of Wight so over a week we stayed at 5 hotels. The Union was head and shoulders above the rest. The room was excellent, looks to have been newly refurbished, including high quality windows. Would definitely recommend it. "

"Perfect location looking across the Esplanade to the sea front. Excellent food served all day in a relaxed atmosphere by attentive staff. This great venue attracted a lot on non-resident customers and there was a real buzz as guests enjoyed their relaxed meal eating great food and enjoying a wide variety from the bar.. As residents we were recognised and welcomed and felt very looked after. This was a great base to explore the Island from, "

"Stayed here with 16 members of the family, aged 10 months to over 70. Games room was perfect, very well stocked kitchen , bedrooms were good, in general the property needs a hug, tired in places. The beaches are accessible by only the sure footed, and we’re not suitable to sit on as there was evidence of rock falls.having said that the coastal walks were perfect"

"The Granary is quirky and very comfortable, equipped with everything you need for a self catering stay. The garden is just wonderful and the real highlight of our stay. Rebecca is a five star host and we can’t recommend her property highly enough. With a car or bicycles, it’s in an ideal location for exploring the island. Without, the buses are frequent, convenient and inexpensive."
