"This is a lovely relaxed hotel/apartment in an excellent location just 2 minutes’ walk from the local bars and restaurants. The hotel has a self-check-in system and they email with a door code so you can arrive and go straight to your room. Our room was exceptionally clean and the bed was comfortable, with two pillows each and an extra blanket if needed. There was plenty of storage and hanging space for clothes and a small fridge. There’s lots of fresh fruit at breakfast as well as the usual breakfast options. Everything was delicious. What was lovely was the biscuits, coffee, tea, sweets and port that was available free near reception. Sagres is a super chilled little surf town and Casa Azul is a great option if you’re looking for clean, simple, friendly accommodation."

"The hotel is in an excellent spot overlooking the beach. It’s particularly lovely at sunset the breakfast was excellent and the staff are very helpful. The actual room was clean and hygienic. The only issue we had is that the hotel looks worn out it needs to uplift, painting and show an element of modernisation. Overall we enjoyed our day."

Toutefois, le plaisir du séjour est en partie atténué par quelques faiblesses au niveau de l'entretien (ex.: problème de climatisation, lampe non fonctionnel, robinetterie qui mériterait d'être resserrée, présence d'algues dans la piscine, etc.). L'établissement possède un cachet indéniable, mais un suivi plus rigoureux de la maintenance lui permettrait de retrouver tout son standing."

"In early July: Great atmosphere. Generally quiet area, not over-touristy. Excellent breakfast and good restaurant for other meals. Great views, and brilliant location (especially if you have a car). Staff are lovely."

"What an excellent property . The staff were friendly and welcoming . We really connected with a gentleman who exhibited excellent customer service . He would engage with us at the pool and morning breakfast ( which was tasty ). The pool facility and bar were perfect . I would visit again . Thanks for the perfect stay."
