HISTORY:
This large three-level Craftsman, chalet style, heritage manor was designed by the famous Canadian architect, Samuel Maclure, in 1912 for a prominent local businessman who was well-known for his interest in the prohibition movement and church and was president of the YMCA. The building has since been converted into seven self-contained suites over two decades ago. The suites, all unique from each other, ranging from studio to 1-bedroom suites, all have their own kitchen and bathroom. The manor, known as Trutch Manor Suites, had for many years been Victoria's popular bed and breakfast. The manor is now renamed “Larkspur Manor Suites” to pay homage to the beautiful Victoria, City of Gardens. Larkspur is an old-fashion flower that comes in a variety of shades, with beautiful meanings, most commonly used to symbolize love, affection, strong attachment, happiness, and a pure heart. We believe Larkspur beautifully represents our manor in welcoming people from all shades to have a wonderful, happy experience, whether they are here for a special occasion, holiday making, or to reconnect with loved ones and families. As the new owner with years of hospitality experience hosting travelers, business professionals, and international students from all over the world, and as a super host, and premiere host, I am excited and pleased to continue offering this wonderful manor as your home away from home while you are visiting or working in Victoria.

Excellent location in lovely, quiet neighbourhood. Walking distance to downtown, even closer to seafront! Beautiful, spacious suite with all the amenities, including a very thoughtfully stocked kitchenette. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.
The home was so nice to be in and has so much character. The host was extremely helpful when we had questions, and (as first time visitors) we really appreciated the suggestions for places to visit.
Holly was a most gracious host. The suite was roomy with a large shower, fully equipped kitchen and antique furnishings in the sitting area and the bedroom.
We are already talking about a return visit in early winter.
This is our second time to stay at the Manor Inn..but a different unit. The suite is lovely with big windows, wood floors and and a small but well appointed kitchen with lots of spices, some coffee and tea. Great location, parking available.... a wonderful retreat in Victoria! We loved it. Holly is a great host.
Comfortable and clean accommodation. Comfy bed. The kitchen had everything we needed, and there were good "starter" supplies (coffee, tea, spices) Great location near Cook Street restaurants, food stores, liquor store, and fun shops. Easy 15 minute walk to Beacon Hill Park. About 15 minute walk to Government House and their lovely gardens. The hosts' information for guests was very helpful.
My husband and I had a great three nights here. The check in process was a little clunky to start, but we contacted the property manager and she was helpful in getting us in. Once we got it figured out, we loved the accommodation.
The unit was great. Lots of room, the bedroom separate from the living area, which is great if one person gets up earlier than the other. The windows add lots of light. The neighborhood is easily driven or walked and it is close to sites and downtown. It is easy to get everywhere. We had a great time and would highly recommend it.
The parlour suite was perfect for the two of us we really enjoyed our time here and will be back. The hosts daughter is very nice to chat with and the other guests were all very nice. The bed is very comfy and the patio was nice to sit and enjoy a bevy after a long day of checking out Victoria.
Holly's place was exactly as we expected it to be based on the description and interaction with Holly. A very pleasant and helpful host. Recommend to all.
The apartment is, as advertised, a short walk from many of Victoria's best attractions: the museums, Beacon Hill Park, the old city downtown, and the bustling neighborhood along Cook Street. Each of these is a 10-15 minute walk.
The neighborhood is truly beautiful!
The apartment itself is spacious and well equipped; it's also an architectural wonder: the living room, although the early 20th century wood has been painted (like in many homes of this era), still has the feel of decades ago -- but with the comforts of today. The bathroom is fully modern; the kitchen was amply adequate for our stay of just under a week.
We would happily stay there again.
