"9/10 ExcellentNous avons passé un très bon week-end prolongé à l'occasion d'un anniversaire familial à 14 personnes (enfants et adultes de tous âges confondus 2 petits chiens avec nous). Le gîte est très agréable, entouré de nature et au calme.La communication avec les propriétaires est fluide et rapide. La proximité avec la Chaise-Dieu et sa magnifique abbaye ainsi qu'avec des villages pittoresques comme Allègre ou encore Brioude permet de visiter et de découvrir facilement la région. "We booked this hotel very, very last minute as we had started to grow tired on the road. It was no problem at all and we were able to go straight to our room. The room was modern and comfortable and we slept really well . The doors do take a good push to close and are noisy when closing - but once the hotel had settled for the night it was a lovely calm environment. The village is very quaint and a self guided walking tour is suggested in the room which we would recommend that you do. The breakfast was phenomenal - even the yoghurt is home made. Downsides - if you book last minute you may not be able to eat at the restaurant and even if you book in advance you should reserve. There is no other places to eat a meal in the village. So having to drive out to another restaurant was a bit annoying after a long drive during the day. It would be good if maybe an option was available for weary travellers even if the full restaurant experience was not possible. Maybe a salad for you to eat in your room or at the outside tables? Equally - although the breakfast was excellent it is only served from 8:00 to 9:30 on a Sunday morning (probably to enable to team to prepare for a busy lunch service in the restaurant). It is a shame - especially since check out is 11am. Would still revisit if ever passing though. A lovely, none pretentious stop away a short drive from the A75."

"Excellent traditional french logis hotel & restaurant run by the second & third generation of the family who created it from the family farm and full of old farm tools and implements. Very comfortable bed though traditional bolster with huge pillow and bed covers could be replaced. Very good traditional French country restaurant with local specialities and delicious local red wine plus good indoor swimming pool and views of the lovely countryside with sheep in the fields from the window. A really good place to stop in the way down south with masses of parking just off the road. Thoroughly recommended."
