The hotel location was great for me because it was in a quiet area outside of the main hustle and bustle, but still very walkable to many restaurants. The historic center and most attractions were about a twenty minute walk. As for the property itself, I paid over $800 for three nights. After staying there, I’d say that price is about double what it should be. My room was fairly basic so maybe that’s why, but there were zero amenities in the room. No coffee, no kettle, no air con (and it was 90 F degrees out), not even water. The shower was tiny and only put out scalding hot (i mean really burning to the point of being intolerable) water and they attempted to fix it but never really did. The last day there was a sewage smell in the bathroom so i covered vents up w towels and didn’t bother to say anything bc at that point I was leaving. Staff is friendly enough and breakfast was basic but good.

I stayed at room 33, which is the only room on the top level. This seems to be a refitted attic; it has a fire door - a heavy metal door that’s pretty small. If you’re a tall person beware - you may hit your head. Furthermore the lock seems to be damaged. From the inside I failed to unlock the door on the first few tries, twisting and turning the key without the lock unlocking. I eventually figured out that the key must be pushed in further to work the lock. Inconvenient, sure, but even more concerning it’s a safety issue, when a heavy fire door does not unlock easily. Only one lamp in the room was working, giving it a veritable crypt atmosphere. The nightstand light didn’t work, neither did the starry sky lights above the door. The color changing led strip behind the headboard did not work, but not help. (At least not in lighting up the room. It helped in emphasizing the cheap impression though.) The one working light was draped in a bedsheet. For whatever reason. The shower head does not stay in position and slips down - i.e. hands free showering is only possible from the waist down. Furthermore the shower folding door is broken in more than one ways - it doesn’t stay on its tracks, this won’t close, and on top of that the handle comes off when trying to close the shower. Last, the cupboard had burn stains on it. All in all the stay was not worth the money. While the hotel itself seems nice enough, the room I stayed in was more the level of a hostel.

Me encantó el alojamiento, super bien la habitación la amabilidad del personal. Pero tengo que poner una pega, la habitación hay una zona donde no tiene cortinas por lo que cuando amanece entra luz y no puedes descansar.

+ Rummet var rymligt och var roligt inrett. - Rummet var stekhett med en bordsfläkt som inte gjorde det något svalare. Rummet luktade gammal ”gubbsvett”. Underlakanet var syntetiskt så det var varmt att ligga på. Personalen var inte hjälpsamma; när vi bad om rekommendationer tyckte de att vi skulle googla, när vi bad om en extra kudde tyckte de att vi borde bett om det en annan tid trots 24/7 bemanning i receptionen m.m. Frukosten var ok.

It was a great little hotel. Great location right near the river. Great access to public transportation. The breakfast could use an upgrade, but overall fine. Room decor was lovely, every room was different. Mine appealed to my taste and the room was quite spacious.

Mycket trevligt historiskt hotell med vacker interiör i en lugn del av Wien, på lagom promenadavstånd till stadens historiska hjärta. Något lyhört mot korridorerna men inget som störde oss.
