This is a simple hotel near main train station. It is also near Tram D that will bring you to Vienna main attractions. Not many eatery nearby. You might want to walk to nearby metro stations or main train station for food. The hotel restaurant has nice food. The staffs are friendly. The room is small, clean and acceptable. No Kettle, slipper, shower cap provided. The surrounding is quiet and is located in residential area. Nearby has many hotels too. There is a supermarket next door.

Very friendly staff capable of several languages. Outstanding fitness areas both inside (machines, dumbbells, etc) and outside (e.g. bars for pull-ups). Cool vibe. Room was spacious and well-designed. For example, desk had 2 mainland European outlets, 1 UK outlet, and 1 US outlet. 2 blocks from intercity train station, main U1 subway, and several street cars made getting around city convenient. While surrounding area wasn’t touristy, always felt safe at all times of day and night. Didn’t eat at restaurant due to my schedule, but breakfast always smelled good when I passed in my way out each morning. Spent 5 nights. Was there mostly for work plus a day of vacation. Would definitely stay again if in Vienna.

Use the free bike hire!
The hotel was perfectly positioned for us as it was just up from the train station - this made it easier to catch trains for onward journeys and subways to parts of Vienna that were further away. It is a bit of a walk from the ‘main’ part of Vienna though. What made this hotel particularly great for us was the free bike hire. We could easily get around for free and see much more of Vienna than we could have done on foot. They were brilliant! Room was comfortable and clean, we were on the top floor and it was so quiet. Staff were really lovely. Overall a great stay.

Hotel is conveniently located close to the main train station. Room is small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was on the expensive side 27 Euros. I would recommend staying at this hotel because of its closeness to main train station. It is also in a quite area.

Reception was lively & helpful. Housekeeping was bad most days. Did not remove/replace used tea cups, did not sweep floors or empty garbage or make beds. Only sign they were there was fresh towels on 1 of 3 day stay, even tho we put towels on floor.

Excellent location for the station as we travelled to Vienna by train. Also very easy to get to the airport for our departure. We booked and had confirmation of a king size bed, but we actually were given a room with a queen size bed. Very spacious room (suite). I liked the separate toilet but it should have had a hand basin in it. I didn't like the room number and direction signs in the hotel, (made to look like chalk marks on blackboard). They made the hotel look cheap. Also the display of empty wine bottles in reception looked dreadful and again, cheap and nasty.

We would definitely revisit the property. We had a whirlwind of Europe and stay at the brand name four stars to locally managed and owned property. We highly recommend the property. It is easily accessible to the main train station and subway. It is a mile away from the landmarks. There is a neighborhood market doors down. The staff is super friendly and prompt to follow up on the request, lucky owner has a such great team. The room is spacious for a family of four with two teenagers. The sanctuary room and sauna next to the gym is great addition during the winter season. It has a nice courtyard to wind down the day. The laundry machine is small but does its jobs. The management should consider providing and loaning the Drying rack as another property that we stay at Athen has.

A gem close to Central Station
Great place to stay - huge room - clean - fab shower - super close to Central Station. Friendly service and an excellent gym & sauna. You cannot go past The Zeitgeist.

Good - close to the train station clean but small room . Check in process was a hassle. Getting the guest to fill out a lenthy form was not a good idea. Only 2 pillows in the room. Would have been nice to have more pillows. No screen for the shower area leading to having a very wet floor towel.

Nice design hotel well-placed for the station
We stayed here one night to get an early train the next morning. It was a lovely hotel, great design. We paid extra for a 'resort view' but basically we had a window out onto the street. Our shower was a bit blocked too. But the bed was comfortable, the fittings high-quality and it had more character than most rooms of this price. We didn't eat here, nor use the spa as we didn't have time. The front desk was a bit "brisk" but overall, we were very happy with our stay and it looked like the best option of the station hotels.

A solid, no-frills hotel. The desk staff seem kind of rude. They also refused to give receipts, which was strange. The restaurant on the bottom floor was pretty great.

Good hotel near to main station. quick metro ride to tourist areas. Breakfast was good at the weekend but on Monday morning it was all pre-prepared and not so good, poor value in fact. Don't know if this is normal or not and did not have time to ask!

Probably better under different circumstances
The good: we stayed in a suite which was well appointed and comfortable. The Nespresso machine was a nice touch, and compared to the leading competing hotel locally, Motel One, the rooms large. The Bad..Property had a inner atrium and although it closed at 10pm, the hotel staff did not enforce the closure and people were partying in the courtyard well past midnight. The noise was excessive, then around 4am the maintenance staff was out moving the courtyard furniture back to their intended places and they slid the furniture across the pavement instead of picking it up!? All in all this night spoiled me on the hotel which was otherwise decent.. oh, except none of the staff wore masks, and this led 90% of guests not to as well? This was odd because masks were being worn all over town and in other hotels at a very high level of participation?? My brother in law stayed at a competing hotel 900’ away, and all the employees wore masks, and the guests too, unless they were eating or drinking. Lastly, our room had 6 large dormer windows with a view of nothing. If you prefer a view, and the smaller room size is a non issue, stay at Motel One, they had a nice view of the area, which is a convenient location for transportation but not too scenic. That said, I did take my morning run over to Belvedere Palace it was fairly close. 2

The noise you heard was from the courtyard from the Hostel next to us since we close the doors latest 10pm. Please be sure that we take your feedback seriously and that your described experience does not meet our own quality claims. Therefore we already set first steps within our management team to avoid similar situations in future and also already talked to our neighbours. Regarding the masks: In Austria it is not mandatory to wear masks inside the Hotels as all the guests as well all of our staff have to show their vaccination status or negative COVID-19 test. In case somebody of our staff has no valid test status, he/she has to wear a FFP2 mask for the whole shift. Please be assured that the healthiness of our guests as well as of our staff is our first priority and we comply strictly with all COVID-19 regulations! I'd give Hotel Zeitgeist SIX stars across the board if I could. Beautiful, comfortable, and superb in every way, but it was the PEOPLE working there that really did it for me. It's one thing to bo well-served by members of a hotel staff, but it's something else entirely when you ARE made HAPPY just to interact with them. Couldn't have been any happier!

Very helpful staff. We had issues with the key card but they came and fixed it and were very apologetic for the inconvenience. nice room and very modern

The layout of the suite is great. Even with the pull out bed (which was ready made up with sheets and duvet), it did not feel cramped. The bathroom toiletries were in an eco- friendly dispenser.

It is a very modern and functional hotel. Great for short trip to visit the city or business. The staff are very helpful. You would not want to stay here if you wanted to spend your stay in the hotel, but as a base to explore the city it has a great position.
